Obama’s reelection is the ultimate studio production, a sort of political It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0057193/) that costs millions, features a cast of thousands, and stars some of the biggest names of the day. However, like all screwball comedies, things are not going as the protagonist intends. The entertainment industry has captured Obama’s presidency, and shifted the national agenda onto terrain familiar to California and New York liberals, but unfavorable to the independent voters who will decide 2012.

Having alienated practically all of business and Wall Street, the president has come to rely on film, fashion, and music donors. He raffles off tickets to dinners with George Clooney and Sarah Jessica Parker, and backstage passes to see Marc Anthony (http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/obama-marc-anthony-338692). Dreamworks CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg has given $2 million to the Obama super PAC Priorities USA (http://www.npr.org/2012/05/11/152349916/head-of-shreks-studio-puts-millions-behind-obama), even as his studio is under SEC investigation for alleged bribery of Chinese officials (http://www.nytimes.com/2012/04/25/business/global/sec-asks-if-hollywood-paid-bribes-in-china.html?pagewanted=all).

The most recent list of contributors to the Democratic National Committee (http://www.nytimes.com/2012/06/21/us/politics/democratic-super-pac-gifts-rise.html?ref=todayspaper) resembles a promo for a bad episode of Hollywood Squares (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0059995/): “Kirk Douglas, Billy Crystal, Robert Downey Jr., Jack Black, Tom Hanks, Salma Hayek, and Burt Bacharach.” That last name is worth mulling. To paraphrase another million-dollar Hollywood donor to Obama’s super PAC (http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2012/02/24/maher-puts-one-million-dollars-behind-pro-obama-super-pac/), here is a new rule: When one relies on the composer of “What’s New Pussycat (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VBdSqk78nHw)” for money, it may be time to say a little prayer (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tLCRUWCETK4) for one’s campaign.

From post-material concerns such as same-sex marriage (http://freebeacon.com/gay-for-pay/) and contraception mandates (http://blog.heritage.org/2012/02/01/obamacares-contraception-mandate-tramples-on-religious-liberty/) to material perks such as killing the Keystone pipeline (http://www.usnews.com/news/blogs/ballot-2012/2012/05/15/dem-says-obama-wont-move-on-keystone-pipeline-until-after-election) and funding green energy companies (http://www.lgprogram.energy.gov/) (where do you think actors and directors invest their royalties?) to film distribution deals with China (http://www.ft.com/intl/cms/s/0/dbf3064e-59a9-11e1-8d36-00144feabdc0.html#axzz1yRVDfgdp) to tax breaks for filmmakers (http://www.americanbar.org/content/dam/aba/migrated/Forums/entsports/PublicDocuments/taxconsiderations.authcheckdam.pdf) to access to national security officials (http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/bin-laden-movie-kathryn-bigelow-jessica-chastain-339406), Hollywood has gotten exactly what it wanted out of this president. The one possible exception to this rule has been the White House’s reluctance to embrace fully (http://www.whitehouse.gov/blog/2012/01/14/obama-administration-responds-we-people-petitions-sopa-and-online-piracy) the Stop Online Piracy Act (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stop_Online_Piracy_Act), but that move was likely a temporary hedge to preserve support from Silicon Valley until after the election. Obama is Hollywood’s man.....snip~

Some more insight into Obama's Campaign and who is behind the man. Then Gates and Silicon valley. Lets not forget him Flying Jon Bon Jovi to a Campaign Event to perform. Spielberg is considered a media mogul and he is one of their Democratic Big Wigs. Several Producers. Including Emanuels brother.

Total Outside Group Spending: $1,000,000
Recipients: Priorities USA Action ($1,000,000)
Total 2012 Spending: $1,010,000
Other Recipients: Midwest Values PAC ($5,000), Al Franken ($5,000)
It’s Bill Maher. He announced his intention to cut a seven-figure check to Priorities USA Action in February, during a stand-up show.
“I would like to announce tonight a donation to the Obama super PAC which has the very unfortunate tongue-twister name Priorities USA Action. I know, it was named by Borat,” Maher said, according to Yahoo! (http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/ticket/maher-donates-1-million-obama-super-pac-131123895.html), which broadcast the show. “Tonight I would like to give that PAC $1 million dollars.”
Maher hasn’t always been a big-time political giver. CRP lists no donations in 2010, and $2,300 to Obama and Sen. Al Franken (D-MN) in 2008, along with $1,000 to former Sen. John Edwards (D-NC).

Kareem Ahmed

Total Outside Group Spending: $1,000,000
Recipients: Priorities USA Action ($1,000,000)
Total 2012 Spending: $1,080,800
Other Recipients: DNC Services Corp ($30,800), Democratic Party of Pennsylvania ($10,000), Bob Casey ($5,000), more.
Another relative unknown, Kareem Ahmed, CEO of Landmark Medical Management, gave three separate checks to Priorities USA Action totaling $1,000,000 between February and March.
“President Obama is fighting to help middle class families during tough economic times, to transition our nation to a clean energy future, to fight to keep improving our health care - the list goes on and on,” he said in a statement to California Watch (http://californiawatch.org/dailyreport/calif-money-flows-super-pacs-state-lawmakers-seek-limits-15425) in March. “Priorities USA Action has the President’s back, and I’m proud to have theirs.”
The California-based Ahmed has given widely to Democrats around the country this year, from Virginia Senate candidate Tim Kaine to Sen. Bill Nelson (D-FL) to Rep. Brad Sherman (D-CA).....snip~

Obama thinks he can just buy this election, and he spends all his time campaigning and attending fundraisers. Meanwhile, ValJar works the destructo-machine on all things economy-killing-policy, and the bureaucrats and regulators stay bizzy eroding our Liberty. This is the evil capable in mankind, at work.

There is a really sneaky way to get even. I have heard of this thing called "torrents". Not sure how it works but you can obtain just about any song, any film and a whole lot of books absolutely free.

I'm not sure, it might not be all that legal....

But a hell of a way to get even....

BTW, why should anyone listen to a pampered egotist whose only success has been to get obscenely rich pretending to be something he's not?

Oh, wait, isn't that Barak Obama?

Then there was the Obamas State Dinner......

WASHINGTON (AP) — The White House extended state dinner invitations to more than 30 of President Barack Obama's top fundraisers, including a handful of donors to an independent political group backing his re-election effort, an Associated Press review has found.

Such coveted seats for Wednesday's event honoring British Prime Minister David Cameron and his wife went to about two dozen supporters who each raised $200,000 or more for Obama's campaign. Those included film producer Harvey Weinstein, New York financier Orin Kramer and Miami public-policy consultant Joseph Falk.

Indeed, it is not uncommon for presidents to reward major supporters with access to dignitary dinners: President George W. Bush invited dozens of his "pioneer" supporters to state dinners, and President Bill Clinton did the same. But Obama previously has criticized Washington's pay-for-access privileges, and even donors themselves complained early in his presidency that they were kept at arm's length.

The nearly three dozen top donors who mingled with the dinner's 360 total guests are also known as "bundlers" — the high-profile fundraisers who collect campaign checks from friends and business associates. Since federal campaign rules cap individual contribution limits — $2,500 each for the primary and general elections — bundlers have become significant figures for Obama's campaign.

All told, bundlers at Wednesday's event raised more than $8 million for his re-election efforts, records show.....snip~

Me too but Mexico has no rights to California and we shouldn't allow it.
