The Difference Between Obama's First Term And Bush's First Term In One Devastating Chart

http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b137/chasc5/private-sector-bush-obama.png
"The blue line is state government employment. The green line is local government employment. And the red line is private employment

As you can see, under Obama, private employment snapped back much better than it did during Bush's first year.

State and local government employment, however, fell much harder under Obama than it did under Bush.
This is of course exactly the opposite of the big government socialist stereotype that the Obama economy is portrayed as, but oh well.

More Charts in the link provided ... if you have the guts to look further :)

When we get the # of federal employees to fall as fast as state & local employees, we'll be making progress. For every state job lost, Obama probably added on 2 fed employees... can't really see what the fuss is about. We're drowning in debt... in case nobody's noticed.

Still playing the Bush strawman, eh?

Federal government has grown 12 percent under Obama. State and local government employment falling because of falling tax collections because of the ObamaEconomy.

BTW, private sector employment under Obama has declined 5 percent while government employment has only dropped 2 percent. Y'all just keep killing off the taxpayers now. :)

When you're the Architect of the Second Great Depression ... it kind of sticks with you ... it didn't just happen without his help. :)

BTW ... somehow I missed your link backing up your claims.

Hay ... The Private Sector is doing fine ...

Then why did Ubama rescind that remark??? And if the private sector is doing so well, we don't need a jobs bill then right???

To appease literal minded idiots ... the intelligent people knew exactly what he was saying.

The PRIVATE SECTOR is doing good.

What do you care?

Just trying to figure out who's spinning here. Evidently you have no idea WTF you're talking about.

He either lied about the private sector doing well or he lied about needing a jobs bill.

I'm doing well and it has nothing to do with my need for more money. :)

But the private sector isn't doing good, you fool. Why do you think he's getting roasted for that latest foot in mouth?

The government is doing great, however. Feds fatter than ever, locals taking less than half the hit the privates are.

Nice accomplishment Mr. Obama!

Bush is slightly less liberal than Obama. The growth under Bush occurred when we had a growing market to drive debt spending. Obama didn't have that option.

And then there's this, from the cited article:

"And it actually fits quite nicely with what we have said... that the private sector is doing "fine" under Obama (http://www.businessinsider.com/the-private-sector-and-the-public-sector-under-obama-2012-6?op=1).
On Twitter (http://twitter.com/PatrickHarris3/statuses/216891099162218496), a critic of this chart said that the comparison wasn't meaningful, since the surge in state and local jobs under Bush was a function of Homeland Security spending after 9/11.
That may be true, but if anything it just proves the point made by Krugman, that to jumpstart job creation in this country, perhaps we need to have a false fear of an alien invasion."

Paul Krugman? :smiley_ROFLMAO:

Man, that article is so tainted, I won't even bother eviscerating it further.

Conservatives need to pick a side ... did The President Grow Government or NOT ... :)

My friend, I am your worst nightmare...totally dedicated to the struggle against your side no matter who gets hurt. You see me as a fascist and I see you as a totalitarian. Like Maxine Waters says..."bring it."

Do you remember the old phrase "no justice no peace?" I have a new phrase for you...no peace no peace.

You ain't dealing with Republican collaborators any more. The Blue Model of Society is dying because America no longer produces the excess wealth necessary to purchase social peace. Look for war without end...no matter what the impact on the country. Some things are more important than America.

How many dollars per employee? How many dollars per car with "Cash for clunkers?" His stimulus program is an utter failure.

Don't let the left call you a fascist. Fascists are totalitarians- creatures of the left.
