There was a time early on when it was basically all cons... so we need a few token libs to keep us honest. Too bad we can't pick & choose which ones move over here. The mods actually put up with quite a bit here before they lay down the law. Here's hoping that continues and they don't feel it necessary to tighten the screws anymore than they already are. More forums are killed by bad mods than bad members.

The origin of bane of my existence was recorded in the Old English Chronicles as early as circa 800. The word bane of existence in those days meant a real threat to ones existence. However we don't really use that term anymore. Nowadays it is used as a complaint of a threat that is not so serious. The earliest recorded use of bane of my existence was in 1592.
