The utter lawlessness of this administration knows no bounds (http://townhall.com/tipsheet/conncarroll/2015/03/02/obama-very-interested-in-raising-taxes-through-executive-action-n1964629).
Next up - executive orders to increase taxes.... Even the less informed on the Forum know that all tax bills must start with the House of Representative.
White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest confirmed Monday that President Obama is "very interested" in the idea of raising taxes through unitlateral executive action.
"The president certainly has not indicated any reticence in using his executive authority to try and advance an agenda that benefits middle class Americans," Earnest said in response to a question about Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) calling (http://thehill.com/policy/finance/234302-senate-liberal-to-obama-act-on-tax-breaks) on Obama to raise more than $100 billion in taxes through IRS executive action.

oh goody...more taxes....The governor of Alabama ran for re-election last year on a platform of no tax increases. Guess what? He's not going to increase taxes...just reduce the allowable deductions on the state income tax. How lucky can we get?

Source?
And at this point I don't think many of the less-informed will be able to see through the facade Obama and his administration have created for themselves. They haven't yet and we've been trying to get them to see the truth for a more than half a decade now. I think they see Executive Orders like Alexander cutting the knot and it's really more like the USSR's old oppression on surrounding regions. The people for it love it because they don't have to suffer the consequences. They don't pay taxes. They are the ones receiving our taxes.

The simple truth is that every Gov that ran on no new taxs is in trouble budget wise.
This isnt rocket science, there are no jobs, there are more people on public assistance and not paying taxs. The people that do work are grossly underpaid and either pay zero taxs of pennies.
Then republicans give tax cuts to the richest americans and tell us if we do that it will create jobs. CREATE JOBS WHERE..china ? or is Walmart and Mcdonalds going to open new stores.

All Bills for raising Revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives; but the Senate may propose or concur with Amendments as on other Bills.

What do Barack Obama and God have in common?
Neither one has a birth certificate.
What don't they have in common?
God does not think he is Barack Obama.
The sheeple will accept the messiah's tax increase, because as a previous poster said, Obama voters receive taxes. They don't pay them.

Slash corporate taxes and watch business flock to America. And watch the income tax swell the US Treasury like a young womb with a child.

And this rant has what to do with raising taxes via EO ??

He is a lawyer, he already knows how this stuff works, almost certainly better than you do. He won't propose any increases at all. He will kill exemptions and cuts while closing loopholes.

Wouldn't that be considered *raising revenue* ??

Bush 41 was crucified because he went back on his promise "read my lips, no new taxes".
What are people waiting for to crucify Obama? He's decimated his promises.

Well I think that he should do it! I mean there are a few of those offices left in Grand Cayman and we need a few more corporate headquarters down there with that massive 11% tax rate!

Twist all you want, IF it happens that is exactly how they will play it. Closing loopholes and eliminating cuts is not raising taxes. Those taxes are already there tbyve just been temporarily delayed.

I am all for it! That way the next president can do things like kill all investigation into business taxes and kill funding to all of the liberal pet projects like planed parenthood!
then we can just get rid of congress and the Senate because they don't matter anymore.

By executive order or did your state congress approve it?

Does not pass the smell test
MONTGOMERY, Alabama (http://www.al.com/politics/) --- Gov. Robert Bentley said Monday he is opposed to raising taxes but not necessarily to eliminating some deductions, including one that benefits many Alabama families.
Bentley said elimination of the deduction allowed on state income taxes for federal taxes paid is one idea under consideration to fix a budget shortfall for next year and address long-term funding needs of state government.
Voters would have to approve the change.
"I am not for raising taxes and this actually would not be raising taxes," Bentley said. "It would be taking away some deductions. That is certainly one of the things we'll be looking at."
The General Fund is expected to be about $265 million or more short (http://www.al.com/news/index.ssf/2014/11/gov_bentley_on_a_deeper_budget.html) in fiscal year 2016, which starts Oct. 1.

The trouble with the Obama apologists is they don't realize that what they are doing now can be done against them when the tables are turned and repubs are in power.
obama is a dangerous man who is undermining the civil stability of our tublic by trying to rule by decree instead of political consensus.

Thats a tax/revenue increase by executive order.
Slash corporate taxes and watch business flock to America. And watch the income tax swell the US Treasury like a young womb with a child.
I think we should eliminate federal taxes on all corporations and increase state taxes for where their headquarters is in a state. This way we can separate their interest in politics and put more energy in hiring more people here.

Its raising taxes when the taxpayer has to pay more.
Congress authorized those tax exemptions and they were legally signed into law.

While I seriously doubt it will happen (though it would be the right thing to do IMHO) IF it does that will be the way they play it.
