Uhh, yeah - I'd try that.

Aside from dark magic, what this involves is taking an onion circle, covering it in bacon and patty meat and then deep frying it.

I would try that without the cheese, I eat burgers with only fried onions on them

Me too. Rare burger, sauted onions, salt and pepper and ketchup, Kaiser roll is perfection.

Burger, great, but I am so goddamn tired of the world collectively poisoning all food with bacon. For fuck's sake, enough. Enough with the bacon. Bacon burgers, salad with bacon bits, bacon-wrapped steak, bacon muffins, bacon chocolate bars. Jeeze.

Agreed. I don't like bacon on...well anything. except an egg sandwich. I eat quite a bit of bacon but it's always a side.

I like a pink steak but it turns my stomach is I see any red or pink in my burger.

I like grill marks on my burger and caramelized onions. I don't know that I'd want to trust the variable temperature of a deep fryer to ensure that my burger isn't supersaturated with oil.

PolWatch remember that pork shoulder bacon I mentioned to you? OK so I tried their turkey bacon and I give it thumbs up. It looks gross like all turkey bacon does but once cooked it has a nice flavor and it's very high in protein.

I rarely eat bacon, so I don't mind a bit on my very occasional cheeseburger. I wouldn't thank you for a bacon wrapped steak or roast, since I actually want to taste the flavor of the roast. Hamburger tends to be a bit bland, so the bacon helps. I actually grew up eating pink burgers, but my mother used to grind the meat herself, so it wasn't a problem. I would NEVER do that with commercially ground meat.

I may have to try it. I have given up turkey bacon but the pork shoulder bacon steaks were yummy! I may try to sneak some into the grocery cart without my husband seeing the word 'turkey'.

Me too. Nobody doesn't like bacon. But damnit it's become Food Jesus to modern America. It's not even amazing, it's strips of pork that has more fat than actual meat. Even if you cook it really well you lose the fat but it gets shriveled, and yeah it's crispy but it's a fraction the size of the original strips.

Bacon is just a breakfast meat. But since the 80's the bacon industry has pushed bacon into every fast food chain and diner in America. It's literally been a decades-long propaganda campaign. Just tired of the bacon circlejerk.

Yeah, I don't get the bacon frenzy either.

Something about red chop meat just turns me off. I'm OK with whole muscle cuts.

Bacon has a strong flavor too. I want a burger that tastes like beef not smoked pork belly.

I've got a recipe that calls for bacon and other pork in seafood. In fact, my friend who lives on Prytania St. in N.O. and is thouroughly Cajun uses Andouille sausage in an oyster stew that just kicks ass. Another coon ass I know uses bacon in an oyster dish that is fit for a king.
