That's simply my first suspicion. Also at the back of my mind I hear the racist going on about how blacks commit the most crime in America and how they're just awful awful people and need to sit down and shut up.

Of course, intellectually, I do realize that there could be other reasons, but I think that when they find the people who did this, the most likely motivation will be racism.

Why is it racist to point out an actual fact that is borne out by the FBI crime statistics?

Given that it's mostly black males in the 15 - 35 y/o range, they probably account for about 5% or 6% of the population.

If it was the first of the month and he gambled away his or his family's money, it's entirely possible that he hung himself b/c he was despondant. Also in one article on this tragedy, they indicated he was hung with a bedsheet. Not knowing the stats, it does seem if someone was going to murder some person by hanging them, they wouldn't have used a bedsheet.
