They look like happy flowers to me...

The 1912 canvas, painted by the Nazi-leader-to-be when he was a struggling artist in his mid-20s, is going under the hammer at the Nate D. Sanders auction house on Thursday.

The 13.5- by 10.75-inch (34.3- by 27.3-cm) painting shows a blue ceramic pitcher holding orange, red and soft pink flowers -- an unusual subject at a time when Hitler was focusing more on landscapes and architecture.

Bidding for the canvas will start at $30,000.

Beautiful painting, but I couldn't have that in my home given who the artist was.

I wish I had $30,000 to blow. I'd snatch that up in a heart beat.

Just think, if Hitler had been successful as an artist he would not have had time to try and take over Europe

I doubt thirty grand gets it. Be interesting to find out what the bid ends up.

He was evil but one has to step back and notice the painting is not evil. I plan to show it to Louise for her evaluation since she is the resident expert of art.

Don't encourage this. It's only a matter of time before Eddy is sculpting his feces on the sidewalk somewhere.

Due to Abes war on the South, he killed 630,000 yet he is generally admired.

Ever notice Hitler never showed any people in his paintings?

This is telling, because he hated mankind.

If there are anti-Christs, I believe he is one of them. A truly Satanic entity.

They wouldn't let him into the art school. And not into the clique. They let him turn bad. Poor man.

However, considering his notoriety, in a few decades when everyone gets over it all his paintings will be priceless. Only an idiot would sell it.

He was one of the most extraordinary humans to have lived. Saying he was the devil just hinders our ability to learn from the experience.

That is, Let Artists be Artists, no matter what their political views are. Thwarted artists? Well, hell hath no fury...

He supplemented his income by selling water colors when he lived in Vienna.

Anyway, since all of you are racist on this forum, I think that all of you should be harassed and hounded out of your creative passions.
