View Full Version : And another thing about government debt

I've been talking quite a lot lately about our government holding citizens to a higher legal and moral standard than they hold themselves. Or more correctly to a higher standard than we hold them. I've cited examples from self defense, to discrimination.
But here's one that might just grab some of you right in the wallet.
I cannot take out a loan for which my children are legally bound to repay . For example, I can't retire early , live it up on credit cards and have the debt strapped to my children and grandchildren. Yet that is exactly what your government does every minute of every hour of every day . What's the going amount of debt a newborn owes for leaving mom's womb these days? Ten K per pound of baby?
If we ran our government according to the Constitution that would be best. But if we can't do that perhaps we should at least hold them accountable to abide by their own damned rules. Maybe we should elect the "Everything I Ever Needed to Know I Learned in Kindergarten " author for president?

In your own words, describe supply side economics.

That is not an explanation of your supply side economics. Forget it. It was a rhetorical question. Nobody expects you to answer it.

And the current guy at the top has increased the national debt more than all of them combined.

Actually, Obama has increased the debt more than the previous 43 presidents combined, but that will go unnoticed by the left wing partisan hacks.

Libtards will never get that. It's all the republicans fault. Day in day out whine about the Republicans.

They'll try to invent some new math that explains it away, or spin some extraordinary tale about debt as a percentage of GDP and what not, but even that will use creative math.

They'll try to say that other presidents doubled the debt, but they'll poo poo the fact that FDR increased the national debt by more than 1000% in just six years once.

Weapons and ammo were much cheaper then. Just consider what a WWII type war would cost today with current weapons and ammo. Likely would not be possible.

To add some perspective we spent what 13 billion to rebuild all of Europe after WW2? We spent nearly a billion just building a giant "fuck you we took over your country embassy compound" in Iraq. And another 160 billion rebuilding Iraq and Afghanistan.SOME OF WHICH WE WERE STILL BLOWING UP DURING THE REBUILD!
