Love him or hate him, Barney Frank is officially off the market. Kind of. I would suppose that is between him and his husband.Indeed, he is now the highest ranking US official that I am aware of to be in a same sex marriage.Amazing that there are states the will sanction consenting marriages amongst adults.I am simply thinking his happy day is enough to just kind of bother, though slightly, those who are so adamantly opposed to marital "happiness" for all.Though it would appear his husband is a bit younger. join me in wishing the happy couple good luck.

Mr. Frank, 72, and Mr. Ready, 42, were married in Newton, Mass., part of Mr. Frank’s district, on Saturday in a low-key ceremony on the banks of the Charles River. Gov. Deval L. Patrick of Massachusetts officiated. The guests included Representative Nancy Pelosi, the House minority leader, as well as Senator John Kerry and Representatives Dennis J. Kucinich and Steny H. Hoyer.

Mr. Frank, Democrat of Massachusetts, became, in 1987, the first sitting member of Congress to volunteer that he was gay. He is now the first to be married to a partner of the same sex. Both bridegrooms said they recognized the historical significance of the ceremony, which lasted less than five minutes. Gov. Patrick told the guests that Mr. Frank had requested that the service “be short and to the point.”

And in vows written by the couple, Mr. Frank and Mr. Ready pledged to love each other “on MSNBC or on Fox” and “in Congress or in retirement,” a reference to Mr. Frank’s decision not to seek another term.

...

In October 2005, Mr. Ready — a carpenter and welder who specializes in awnings and runs a small shop, Jim of Most Trades, in Ogunquit, Me. — had been dragged to a local fund-raiser by his longtime partner, Robert Palmer, who knew Mr. Frank from his days as an adviser to former Gov. Michael S. Dukakis.

At the time, Mr. Ready was acting as a full-time caretaker: Mr. Palmer had been struggling with serious illness, and both men knew that he was dying.

The meeting that night was not entirely coincidental. Mr. Palmer “wanted someone to be there for me,” Mr. Ready said. “He was looking for somebody to look out for me when he was gone.” After meeting Mr. Frank, he recalled his partner saying: “He could take care of you.”

Isn't it sweet how they managed to make a total mockery out of marriage. And yet some still wonder why there's opposition.

I know the Ubama's weren't invited because Bawney didn't want Ubama to overshadow his marriage with SS and you know Moochelle would upstage them all....LOL

Interesting obit. Appears to be a pattern here... first off, Jim's former partner might've cared for him, but not enough to list him as a survivor. Secondly, appears this 'sugar daddy' routine is nothing new for Mr. Ready. The good news is... perhaps the former partner didn't die of AIDS after all. At least we can hope he didn't for Jim & Barney's sake.

Just finished reading it all and yes Ready was Ready for a sugar daddy or mommie so it seems.
Sorry, sounds like AIDS to me or they would have mentioned what it was.

Did I mention that Bwarney played football in HS? He started out as a Tight End and ended up as a Wide Receiver.

A serious question: Why do some homo men talk with a lisp and others don't? Do some of them get their mouth stretched more or what? Just asking.

I'm a conservative and gay weddings are fine with me. On this particular wedding, Rep. Barney Frank is a mean, vicious, lying bully and his new spouse has my heartfelt sympathy.

Does that mean Blarney won't be hanging out looking for gay sex at the Iwo Jima Memorial now?

What a sick puke and poster boy for Democrats.
