Awwwww, poor Barack. He sounds exactly like the little kid who could never quite hit the mark when playing T-ball. Bless his heart... we should still take him out for pizza so he doesn't feel bad for failing.
That's how we raise kids today, right? As long as you try... even if you fail, it's OK.
Yep, that would be our BoBo.
Top Ten Other Great Men Who Tried Real Hard (http://www.whitehousedossier.com/)
(http://www.whitehousedossier.com/)July 9, 2012
As most of you probably know, we’ve gone from “The Greatest Generation” to the “I Tried Real Hard Generation.”
These days, everyone’s a winner, everyone gets a trophy and everyone gets an “E” for Effort.
Consistent with this new ethos, my sources within the Obama campaign tell me they are changing the campaign slogan from “Forward” to “I Tried Real Hard.”
Here is President Obama unveiling the new slogan:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=zD6b2wfTPwg
Let’s remember, it wasn’t just on bipartisanship that Obama tried real hard. He tried real hard to cut the deficit in half, to get unemployment below eight percent, to spur serious economic growth, to bring down health insurance premiums – which rose instead – and to stop the parade of foreclosures.
Writing in The Weekly Standard, Peter Wehner fleshes out nicely the various promises Obama tried real hard to keep. But didn’t. (http://www.weeklystandard.com/articles/promises-promises_648225.html)
But Obama really is stealing – he’s not the first Great Man to have made “Tried Real Hard” his catchphrase. White House Dossier today poured through the history books and found famous quotes from ten other men of substance who felt the effort was all the mattered.

The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA),[1] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patient_Protection_and_Affordable_Care_Act#cite_no te-0) informally referred to as Obamacare,[2] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patient_Protection_and_Affordable_Care_Act#cite_no te-CNN20120625Obamacare-1) is a United States (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States) federal statute (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Law_of_the_United_States#Federal_law) signed into law by President (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/President_of_the_United_States) Barack Obama (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barack_Obama) on March 23, 2010 after nearly a year of overall consideration by both chambers of Congress (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patient_Protection_and_Affordable_Care_Act#Legisla tive_history). The law (along with the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Health_Care_and_Education_Reconciliation_Act_of_20 10)) is the principal health care reform (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Health_care_reform_in_the_United_States) legislation of the 111th United States Congress (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/111th_United_States_Congress).
PPACA requires most adults not covered by an employer or government-sponsored insurance plan to maintain health insurance coverage or pay a penalty, a provision commonly referred to as the individual mandate (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Health_insurance_mandate). People earning less than four times the poverty line (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poverty_line) ($92,200 per year for a family of four) will receive tax credits to subsidize their purchase of insurance. Medicaid (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Medicaid) eligibility is expanded to include those earning up to 133% of the poverty line. However, individual states may opt out of the Medicaid expansion.[3] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patient_Protection_and_Affordable_Care_Act#cite_no te-nyt-critics-2) The Act also affects certain aspects of the private health insurance (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Health_insurance) industry and public health insurance programs. It bars insurance companies from considering pre-existing conditions (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pre-existing_condition) or gender in coverage decisions, requiring them to cover all applicants (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guaranteed_issue) and offer the same rates (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Community_rating) regardless of health status or gender. The Act also seeks to expand coverage to include 30 million uninsured Americans through its subsidies, the expansion of Medicaid, and an expected increase in participation through the individual mandate.[4] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patient_Protection_and_Affordable_Care_Act#cite_no te-3)[5] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patient_Protection_and_Affordable_Care_Act#cite_no te-4)[6] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patient_Protection_and_Affordable_Care_Act#cite_no te-5)[7] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patient_Protection_and_Affordable_Care_Act#cite_no te-6) The Congressional Budget Office (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Congressional_Budget_Office) projected PPACA will lower both future deficits[8] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patient_Protection_and_Affordable_Care_Act#cite_no te-7) and Medicare (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Medicare_%28United_States%29) spending.[9]
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patient_Protection_and_Affordable_Care_Act#cite_no te-8)
Twenty-eight states, numerous organizations, and a number of private citizens filed actions in federal court challenging the constitutionality of the PPACA (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patient_Protection_and_Affordable_Care_Act#Constit utional_challenges).[10] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patient_Protection_and_Affordable_Care_Act#cite_no te-9)[11] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patient_Protection_and_Affordable_Care_Act#cite_no te-SCblog20111114-10) On June 28, 2012, in the case of National Federation of Independent Business v. Sebelius (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Federation_of_Independent_Business_v._Seb elius), the Supreme Court (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Supreme_Court_of_the_United_States) upheld the majority of the law.[12] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patient_Protection_and_Affordable_Care_Act#cite_no te-11)

1. Winston Churchill: “We shall try real hard to defend our island, whatever the cost may be, we shall try real hard to fight on the beaches, we shall try real hard to fight on the landing grounds, we shall try real hard to fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall try real hard to fight in the hills; we shall try real hard never to surrender.”
2. Martin Luther King: I have a dream that one day this nation will try real hard to rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: ‘We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal.

I'm shocked you would admit all that. Aside from the blatant lies, nonsensical but dogmatic claims, and bill titles that defy reality the list contains nothing of substance. Have you notified the people who were killed by the radical Moslem Major Hassad that there have been NO attacks? Health care for all Americans? Well, no, but all the Americans they care about. And, would you care to define equal pay for equal work, Cigar? We all know it's not equal pay for the same job. So, how do you determine equal work. For example, consider a heavy equipment operator and a hairdresser. Compare their work for equality.
You list, Cigar, is an absolute and total fail. My personal favorite was your recognition of the current administration siding with organized crime in "expanding labor rights" and "saving 1,000 jobs in the American auto industry". The first loses jobs by attacking business and the second was done at the expense, illegal, of the bond holders and depressed the economy further.

Wow, another pointless Cigar comment. There are a host of differences. Just one being that Barack Obama got a Nobel Peace Prize for, well, something unspecified. And, he got into some really great schools for, well, something unspecified. And, he got into the White House for, well, something unspecified. The biggest difference is a President Romney might try to make things better than try to make them worse.

Wow, another pointless Cigar comment. There are a host of differences. Just one being that Barack Obama got a Nobel Peace Prize for, well, something unspecified. And, he got into some really great schools for, well, something unspecified. And, he got into the White House for, well, something unspecified. The biggest difference is a President Romney might try to make things better than try to make them worse.Yes, he would almost certainly make things better... especially for the upper 2%. Because everyone knows that if things are better for the 2%, it'll ultimately make things better for everyone. Take the Bush tax cuts for example.
Maybe it's because people from that area never shut about Chicago? If I was from suburban sprawl or Hicksville, IL I'd say I was from Chicago too
Anyhow I know MMC lives in Indiana but we rely on him for all things Chicago, he keeps us update on the happenings. MMC is especially on it when it comes to Jay Cutler. MMC is Cutler's biggest fan, he has a whole room in his house with Cutler jerseys, Cutler footballs, Cutler helmets...he even went to Santa Claus Indiana where Cutler grew up. He is one HUGE Jay Cutler fan! :-)
  .....JAY CUTLER! :cussing:.....:angry4:.....CUTLER is a :douchebag:.....:angry5:.....Methinks CL was out with Lovey Smith and filling up on that Special Sauce, Tomato, Cheese, and Lettuce. On that Sesame Seed Bun. And Luvin it.....Right?
Screw that ... what Man put pictures of another Man on his Walls?
How about a picture of Kristin Cavallari
http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b137/chasc5/Jay-Cutlers-girlfriend-Kristin-Cavallari1.jpg
How about a guy who has pics up of the Military Engagements and his buddies who he served with. Pics of some that are no longer round. Think there are many MEN out there that do that? Although, there is nothing wrong with having pics of Women up. My wife doesn't say much about my Office on the Side of the Garage or what's up in the Garage.
Gee, maybe we get that idea from his profile:
About MMC
Location:Chicago Illinois
(are you sure he knows where he lives???)
Yeah he is sure.....I moved over into Indiana. Not even a mile over the Border in the Only Republican Town in the area. 17 mins from downtown Chicago and 8 mins into the City. Got my 200k house for like 30-40k cheaper. Pay cheaper taxes. No Grocery Tax. No Chicago Temp Taxes. No 10% Cook County Illinois tax. No paying extra money for License plates, city stickers, nor dealing with all their ridiculous gun laws and government from every aspect of the local to the State getting involved in everyone's life. From the moment they wake up til they go back to bed.
Got away from that 75yrs of failed Demo ran Government. Yet unfortunately we are still considered Chicago-Land Area. Even tho we are in Indiana. Course I work for the Chicago Tribune and Sun-Times &(Post Tribune in Indiana) Newspapers for all of NW Indiana.
The mere thought sends shivers up my leg.
Hey! I keep looking for you or MMC to start a thread about The Godfather, er, I mean Rahm and the crime wave in Chicago... but nuthin. Are you playing like that's not happening like you're playing like Obama's gonna win re-election?
I rarely discuss Wannabe's when it come to the Gang Module or Organized Crime. Although, maybe he can come up with some excuses for the failed Democractic Governments of Illinois for the last 75yrs. Then talk about that crook and slimebag. Jesse Jackson and his Boy Blunder Junior with the same name.
Wonder why all those other Dems have an issue with Junior and his leave of absence from Congress, after his buddy just got nailed for Campaign Fraud. Btw.....the lil junior shit won't be there to Vote in the House on Repealing Obamacare today. Course I was raised and lived most of my life in the City. So I just hide out amongst the Suburbanites/Sheep.
Course Cigar can tell you all about those Yuppies and preppies out in those Western Suburbs.

thx for the explanation, MMC... I understand now. DFW airport is 17 miles from my house, so I can relate to how close you are to Chicago. Good for you getting out from under all those taxes (grocery tax? you're kidding, right?)
Just wondering if Rahm is putting his name all over town like Daley did... last time I was up there, we laughed at all the signs on bldgs, park benches, etc.
Oops, just found this one... nevermind. How goofy is this?

Nope on the Grocery Tax. Not kidding. Plus they just raised Cigarettes by a dollar. Oh and yes.....the Demos are real good at wasting the taxpayers money. Just to see their Names up in Shiny Lights. They learned that from Tinsel Town.

I try telling everybody in Chicago that. Quit Smoking Period. Then the Demos can't live such a luxurious lifestyle.

Please no. Don't quit smoking. Think of what that would do to the tobacco industry and their extremely well-paid lobbyists (lobbyists: a bane on the entire legislative system). Think of the beating their sales would take with every toxic inhalation you take. No matter that what they sell absolutely kills thousands of americans every year, and damages the lungs and air passages of untold others. Buy, buy, buy. Smoke, smoke, smoke.
Then i guess they really have no worries; there's always the next generation to look forward to. They will surely pick up the slack. Addiction's a bear, and if it's legal, it's a gold mine. Kudos to those who have ignored all of the health warnings for years, and have been willing to continue even as prices have increased time and time again. If they're dumb enough to stick with it, they are the true sheeple of the tobacco world.
At least pot, for all the bitching and moaning about potential legalization, isn't addictive.
