Hey members!

If you like the site, please help it along in getting new members.
When you post a thread, at the bottom there's a place for tags....down there right under the thread icons you can choose.

Tags are very important. They bring the site up in internet searches. They're words or phrases that someone might think of to find a topic in a search engine.
For example if you posted a thread about how you make your fave chili recipe, you could use these....

chili recipe, great chili, how to make chili, recipes, favorite chili, cooking chili, unique chili, chili you'll love, best chilli recipe, recipes for chili

See how that works? ^

You can put in up to 25 tags, and separate each of them with a comma.
Individual tags are limited to 25 characters.

Some info about tags, courtesy of wiki:

In information systems (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Information_system), a tag is a non-hierarchical keyword or term (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Index_term) assigned to a piece of information (such as an Internet bookmark (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bookmark_(World_Wide_Web)), digital image, or computer file (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Computer_file)). This kind of metadata (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metadata) helps describe an item and allows it to be found again by browsing or searching. Tags are generally chosen informally and personally by the item's creator or by its viewer, depending on the system.

Labeling and tagging are carried out to perform functions such as aiding in classification (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Classification_(machine_learning)), marking ownership, noting boundaries, and indicating online identity (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Online_identity). They may take the form of words, images, or other identifying marks. An analogous example of tags in the physical world is museum object tagging.

In the organization of information and objects, the use of textual keywords as part of identification and classification long predates computers. However, computer based searching made the use of keywords a rapid way of exploring records. Online and Internet databases and early websites deployed them as a way for publishers to help users find content.

Websites that include tags often display collections of tags as tag clouds (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tag_cloud). A user's tags are useful both to them and to the larger community of the website's users.

So please help us grow the site. More members make for more lively debate and more interesting topics. All threads that have tags will show a little tag icon where you see threads listed.

And as long as I have your attention, just fyi, when you rep someone, they get the number of points you have in rep power. For example, my rep power is 8, so if I rep you, you get 8 karma points. "Thanks" are worth 1 point.
So if you really like someone's post, give 'em a rep. If you rep them FIRST, you can also give them a "thank".

One more thing....if you rep someone, please sign you name so they will know who was kind enough to award them rep points.
Have fun, and play nice!

Feel free to comment or ask questions~

The level of quality of discussion on the forum has dropped sharply. It's all pretty much just bucket carrying "gotcha" threads and intolerance for anyone who thinks against the grain of their own ideology.

What the forum needs is more quality posters.

It's turning into DCJ fast.

It's turning into DCJ fast. That's very insulting to the members here. This place is nothing like DCJ.

Thing to do if you feel that way is not to complain but contribute quality in what you post. You can't control what others do, only yourself.
