WASHINGTON -- Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) issued a report Monday morning detailing decades of failed trade enforcement by American presidents including Barack Obama, the latest salvo in an ongoing (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2015/04/24/obama-tears-into-elizabet_n_7137854.html) public feud between (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2015/04/25/elizabeth-warren-tells-ob_n_7142850.html) Warren and Obama over the Trans-Pacific Partnership.
Obama is currently negotiating the major trade pact with 11 other nations. While the text of the TPP agreement remains classified information, it is strongly supported by Republican leaders in Congress and corporate lobbying groups including the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. The deal is opposed by most congressional Democrats, along with labor unions, environmental groups and advocates of Internet freedom.

If she were a republican the left would be calling her a kook alongside Ted Cruz

I'm never certain how to feel about her. Sometimes, I think she's a wolf in sheep's clothing like President Obama was. Other times, she comes across looking and sounding legit.

I don't have to feel anything because my position is not driven by her personality.

Most of the time she's a leftwing loon but here she is right.

Neither is mine. What's your point?

My point is that the choice is simple if you care about working Americans

So we have people here against any trade whatsoever.

Who are these people that are opposed to all trade?

I'm not one of those.

But trade than drains wealth from America by shrinking the middle class is not good.

A trade deal with Asia is not a bad thing, if it is the right trade deal.

The idea of letting Obama have the power to put the deal on the table without amendments is scary

He is a weak world leader and beholden to the Chinese! So it is likely if not for sure that it would be a bad deal for the USA and the middle class workers.

A trade deal with Vietnam, Cambodia or Laos?

They will sell to us but won't buy anything.
