Northern Namibia (CNN)In January 2014, Corey Knowlton bid $350,000 for a permit to hunt and kill a black rhino in Namibia.
He won the permit and became a target himself.
The hunt is now complete. A rhino is dead.
This is how it happened.

ok....I'm curious how you have arrived at that conclusion? What does a rhino do that is more liberal than an elephant?

If you are 8 years old killing an animal for fun is an indication of psychopathic tendencies. When you are an adult it is called hunting for sport.

A RINO is a lib of the pachyderm persuasion.
Unfortunately its one of the few libs of any persuasion that is on the endangered species list.
I wonder how much money we could raise for charity if they were auctioning hunting permits for the other libs?

So the idea that this male rhino needed to be culled because it no longer contributed to the gene pool and was a danger to younger males who do is really that horrid?
Add that to the fact that $350,000 will go to the protection and conservation efforts it seems like a no-brainier to me. What am I missing?

It just seems wrong.
But there are all those pesky facts that says it's right!
He said he had to kill the rhino to save the rhinos....good reason...huh?
He killed a killer rhino. Paid a fortune as well. Fed a village for many days. (I watched 3 videos that explained it very well)
It just seems wrong.
He killed a killer Rhino. It was approved by many sanctioning bodies.

OK so here is where I draw the line.
The difference between you and I is that I can actually understand where they are coming from. It would be pretty easy to isolate the old male and let him live out the rest of his life. We are all after all talking about one of the most endangered species on Earth and a beautiful animal to boot. Now given I think the benefits ouway the cons here I don't see a problem. That doesn't mean I think it's cool.
Relax on the hyperbole and try to appreciate the beauty of life just once in awhile.

Don't expect people to operate above their demonstrated ability- you will be far less disappointed in life.

It seems that I'm always getting lectured by you.
You may know rhinos but I know liberals.
They don't think, they emote.
In this case sachem assumed it was wrong because it felt wrong.
But maybe because you are more patient and less confrontational than me you might make some headway.
Who knows?
But the left has been irate about this hunt for several years so obviously not everyone or even very many are hearing you.

They have groups of professionals telling them their every move and what exactly to do. They have guides finding the rhino, then this guy just has to aim with a scope and shoot and they call that HUNTING.
Hunting is when a chopper drops you in the middle of nowhere alone and you have to find your own animal and then shoot it another do it all on your own.
