Mitt Romney continues to resist pressure to turn over more tax returns. In an interview today (http://www.nationalreview.com/corner/309673/romney-tax-returns-i-m-simply-not-enthusiastic-about-giving-them-hundreds-or-thousands)he said he is “simply not enthusiastic about giving them hundreds or thousands of more pages to pick through, distort, and lie about.”

The call for more information about Romney’s financial past, however, is bipartisan. A poll released today found fifty six percent of all voters, including sixty one percent (http://images.politico.com/global/2012/07/daily_kos_-_seiu_weekly_polling_obama_vs_romney_712-71.pdf) of independents, think that Romney should release twelve years of returns.

If Mittens can't handle this, good luck handling The President in a debate. :)

WASHINGTON — Rep. Nancy Pelosi was emphatic. Mitt Romney’s refusal to release more than two years of his personal tax returns, she said, makes him unfit to win confirmation as a member of the president’s Cabinet, let alone to hold the high office himself. Sen. Harry Reid went farther: Romney’s refusal to make public more of his tax records makes him unfit to be a dogcatcher.

They do not, however, think that standard of transparency should apply to them. The two Democratic leaders of the Senate and the House of Representatives are among hundreds of senators and representatives from both parties who refused to release their tax records. Just 17 out of the 535 members of Congress released their most recent tax forms or provided some similar documentation of their tax liabilities in response to requests from McClatchy over the last three months. Another 19 replied that they wouldn’t release the information, and the remainder never responded to the query.

Ain't hypocrisy great?

Were I Romney here is what I would do. I'd tell Obama "tell you what Mr. president, you go to Arizona, visit Sherrif Joe and address his allegations face to face on camera, then I'll give you anything you wish...anything. You do plan on campaigning there don't you? Great, then it shouldn't cause any hardship for you". If people called me birther, so be it, but how could Obama evade that request?

If Romney were smart, he'd retort that he would release his tax records immediately after Obama releases his full-form birth certificate and college documents (grades, thesis', etc.).

Obama didn't release anything before the election. What gets me is the other republicans saying Mitt should. They are hurting him more than anyone.

That is what Trump said.

Well thing is.....Romney when he was vetted by McCain.....released 23 yrs of tax records. Which McCain has validated. Plus Obama knows that Romney's last years filing were already in extension so Romney cannot release those ones until the IRS is done with them. Moreover Mccain stated that the President will take a hit on this for alluding that Romney had done something wrong. That this came directly from the Obama Campaign and not one of his SuperPacs.

Obama and his staff only want to get away from the topic of the depression we are in and how many are unemployed or under employed. Or how many have either lost their house or are in foreclosure.
