The protesters were impatient spoiled brats who should have been satisfied with the limited but first demonstration that the Communist Party had ever allowed. Another clue to their snobbish palace revolution was that the first two Army divisions called to put them down refused to go there; only a division composed of those born as lowly peasants carried it out, relishing this war between generations within the exclusivist Communist dynasties.

The media channel you into thinking that the Tiananmen brats were different from our own undisciplined bossy freaks in Occupy Wall Street. The Left media loved both; the Righty talk-show nannies thought of the Chinese protesters as freedom fighters while portraying the OWS as losers and whiners. The few independent minds would take the unallowed view that both were impatient power-hungry spoiled brats. Both were only resentful that their little clique might be excluded too, contrary to what they had been brought up to believe about their future.
