Wasn't sure if I should put this in the tin foil hat forum but decided anyway, it's kind of an odd, spooky story. Abandoned hospital? You don't see that every day.

Side note, me and a co-worker once toured... walked through alone with permission, the old Bedford Springs Hotel before they renovated it. You can read the history of the hotel if you want, it's very historical but it was the most eerie thing I've ever done. It was before cell phone cameras and I wish I took pictures but I didn't.

Rooms were still made up, beds made, plaster on the made beds. Gym equipment, pool room, grand ballroom. I really regret not taking a camera.

Second link after the story is the Bedford Springs Hotel if anyone's interested.

VICKSBURG, MS (Mississippi News Now) - The body of 69-year-old Sharon Wilson, the woman who went missing from Drummond Street in Vicksburg, has been found.

Her body was found by ghost hunters on Sunday at the abandoned Kuhn Hospital on Martin Luther King Boulevard.

She had suffered trauma to the head. Her body has been sent to the crime lab and her death is being investigated as a homicide.

Two men are in custody in connection to the case.

33-year-old Rafeal McCloud and 20-year-old Akeem McCloud were arrested after a traffic stop in Leland after discovering the car they were driving was stolen from Wilson.

Police also found a stolen weapon in the vehicle.

Rafeal has been transported back to Vicksburg and Akeem could be sent back today.

Awesome!

And this sub forum is a solid place. Not "tin foil hat."

I know, I'm saying that as a kind of term of endearment actually.

If you want to see an eerie hospital, Search Hospital (Mental) in Mt Vernon, AL was the place to go. It is closed now but even when under operation it was a strange place.

The old Mount Vernon Arsenal and abandoned grounds of Searcy Hospital have been left in ruins. The site was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988, but it seems to have been abandoned since the state shuttered the mental hospital in September 2012. I heard (from a guy on another forum who lives up around there) that the place is very popular around Halloween.
