Conservative author and convicted felon Dinesh D'Souza usually reserves his Twitter feed for promoting odd contests about himself (https://twitter.com/dineshdsouza/status/477888247696064512) or cracking incomprensible (http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/dinesh-dsouza-ebola-obola-obama) and racist (http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/dsouza-obama-boy-ghetto-tweet) jokes, but on Tuesday he focused on circulating a fake image of Hillary Clinton photographed with a Confederate flag.

"Look closely at this Hillary photo; isn't that a Confederate flag behind her on the bookshelf?" D'Souza tweeted, above a black and white photo showing a young Clinton with a Confederate flag displayed nearby.

The image was almost immediately debunked as a doctored version of a Getty photo taken of Clinton while she was a student at Wellesley (http://www.gettyimages.com/detail/news-photo/class-leader-hillary-rodham-of-wellesley-college-talking-news-photo/50594227), in which no such flag appears.

It's unclear whether D'Souza edited the image himself, whether he knew it was fake, or whether he will believe those who inform him that it is fake (he has yet to address replies correcting him on the photo).

I agree ... quick, duck, dodge and change the subject ... because sure as hell can defend the Thread.

I don't mind saying that the confederate flag photo looks fake.

you have convinced me of that.

But it was probably produced by the Hillary camp to take attention away from the real Hillary-confederate flag pictures.

D'Souza is what the old parish priest would call a smart dummy. Probably easily duped.

Bill must have been really hard up to marry her.

Hillary was born and raised in the South. Why wouldn't she like the Confederate flag?

Bill was from the South. Why wouldn't Hillary like the Confederate flag.

As to my error on where she was born, I thank you for the correction. It won't be too much longer and she can enjoy retirement with Bill down in Arkansas.

Democratic U.S. senators such as former KKK Grand Cyclops Robert Byrd of West Virginia, Tennessee’s Albert Gore Sr. (father of you know who), and Arkansas’s J. William Fulbright (Bill Clinton’s mentor) stood shoulder to shoulder with Hollings and other segregationist Democratic governors, most notably Arkansas’s Orval Faubus and Alabama’s George Wallace. (Wallace installed the rebel flag over his statehouse in 1963, the day before Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy arrived to discuss integration.) While Byrd and Company filibustered the Civil Rights Act of 1964, these state executives blocked schoolhouse doors to exclude blacks. Illinois’s Republican senator Everett Dirksen finally broke the bigoted Democrats’ filibuster and got the Civil Rights Act approved for the signature of Democratic president Lyndon Johnson.Read more at: http://www.nationalreview.com/article/420335/confederate-flag-democrats11961Here is President Kennedy being presented with the flag. The Dems have a long history with that flag. The idea that the Clinton's would have that flag is very, very reasonable. They're from Arkansas for cripes sake, it would be a sacriledge NOT to have that flag around, especially for a high profile politician like Bill who ran for and was elected to the governorship. But let's ignore all that, and focus on a Conservative author.

There was a so called photo of shame in a paper. The idea was to shame legislators in Mississippi.

I believe I counted up to 20 blacks.

Did you see their photo of shame Cigar?

Allow me to give you the true liberal translation to that.... We don't know who altered the photo and we don't know if D'Souza knew the photo was altered and we have not asked him, but we will accuse him anyway.
