They had booked their wedding far in advance. The invitations had been sent, the programs printed. But one day before Charles and Te'Andrea Wilson were to be married at the Mississippi church they frequented, they said a pastor told them they would have to find another venue -- because they were black.
Now let's look at this. They were living together and had a 9 year old daughter. My niece white was refused because they were living under the same roof. That's a no no in most Churches in the South regardless of race. He had to move out of her house three weeks with counseling before they would consider wedding them. Did the pastor really tell them it was race or not biding of the Churches rules? Pastors can and will deny you if they see something wrong. I think there is more to this story than one side is telling.
