...Obama uses the phrase “trickle-down,” as Mondale did, to belittle the idea President Reagan expressed in announcing his “across-the-board, top-to-bottom cut in personal and corporate income taxes.” Reagan argued that tax reform must cut rates not only for those in the lower and middle brackets, but also for those in the “upper brackets, who can thereby be encouraged to undertake additional efforts and enabled to invest more capital.”

Oops, that wasn’t Reagan; it was Democratic President John F. Kennedy! Nevertheless, Kennedy’s argument is precisely what Obama now ridicules as “trickle down.” There’s no longer room for men like Kennedy in Obama’s radicalized Democratic Party....

PRESIDENT OBAMA’S TRICKLE-DOWN TYRANNY (http://www.humanevents.com/2012/07/25/president-obamas-trickle-down-tyranny/)

Obama can't seem to get anything right.

Perhaps in his mind he is. He is doing people a favor by forcing them onto the government dole.

Worth quoting from another thread here:

To further the thought....The real problem why jobs are being outsourced is because we have over 25% of the wage earners making a living off the hundreds of ways to gamble in the banking/investment/stockmarket etc. We have another 45 million or 45% of the wage earning age population living off entitlements, not paying income taxes while contributing nothing.

Then we have nearly twice as many people working for the government (22.5 million) than in all of manufacturing (11.5 million). It gets worse. More Americans work for the government than work in construction, farming, fishing, forestry, manufacturing, mining and utilities combined. Nearly half of the $2.2 trillion cost of state and local governments is the $1 trillion-a-year tab for pay and benefits of state and local employees.

Then all these politically uneducated bozo's keep saying.... "Where are the jobs? Which party/politician is going to give us all the jobs"? Only a complete fool think they can get jobs through voting. The political and financial ignorance totally amazes me.

That last sentence definitely covers Cigar, Blad and GOPdoper.

Come on...lay off Obama on the economic issue....

First, it's Bush's fault, second its the Republicans who are keeping him from bankrupting, er, improving the economy.

And it isn't right to compare him with Reagan. Don't you remember all the "progressives" back then insisted Reagan was stupid. The same guys, like Cigar, who claim Obama is a freakin' genius.

Therefore it was pure luck that the Reagan economic plan worked. And it's simply a run of luck that every Reaganesque program since has been working too.

Pure luck, no, no, it was Carter set the stage, Reagan just took credit. If it weren't for Carter we'd still be sitting in gas lines!

The Constitution requires that Congress pass a budget yearly. The Constitution does not require Congress to create jobs. Know wonder you libs are so confused.....

Lame-ass deflection noted, Cigar. Where's the budget?

For the second consecutive year, the Democrat-controlled United States Senate has unanimously rejected President Obama's 2013 budget (http://townhall.com/tipsheet/guybenson/2012/02/13/obamas_budget_dishonest_tricks_class_warfare_and_m assive_debt).

The final vote was 99-0, making the the running two-year tally 196-0.

This move follows the House of Representatives' 414-0 rebuke (http://townhall.com/tipsheet/katiepavlich/2012/03/29/unanimous_obama_budget_defeated_4140) of the same fiscal blueprint earlier this year. Astonishingly, not a single Senate Democrat has voted in favor of any budget for three years (http://townhall.com/tipsheet/guybenson/2012/02/04/pathetic_senate_democrats_wont_offer_a_budget_in_2 012), even as they refuse to offer a plan of their own.

Do you know you're saying the POTUS doesn't have a budget and saying it's been rejected ... all in the same post?

No, you're saying that. Obama's budget was SO bad, no one would vote for it. Meanwhile the dems do nothing to remedy any of it.

Don't worry ... as soon as they are back in control you'll see a flood of Bills come through :)

Dems wouldn't even let Obama's budget proposals go to the floor for a vote.

Reps aren't going to lose control of the House, and may take the Senate. So even if Obama wins a second term he'll be powerless.

no he won't be powerless, he will bypass the house and the senate with signing statements

Can we go back to "where's the jobs?"

You are asking that of Congress?

I'm sorry, but there was this other fellow I recall talking "jobs, jobs, jobs" and if I'm not mistaken HE claimed he could super-hero-like keep unemployment UNDER 8%.

His name was Barak Obama.

So let mne ask you:

Where's the #@%ing JOBS?
