But many other Republican candidates are starting to take notice that immigration will be a make-or-break issue going in to the 2016 election.

As with all wedge issues, immigration divides people over purely social issues who would possibly be allies on economic or world affairs, and enables the bitter partisan politics... that we all supposedly hate.

Purely social issues? We should put our own people first not economic refugees from Latin America. Nic, you really have to decide who you want to support. The "rights" of immigrants or the American working classes.

No they don't they have a bill for amnesty, and then maybe some help for the border, if we have some left over.

What can happen right now, is the President can enforce the current immigration laws. That would make a huge difference.

The immigration issue is BS because the anti immigration side won't even negotiate unless every undocumented person is deported.

Has anyone ever explained how that would be done? Of course not, so the issue remains BS as I said.

Thats the point it needs to be discussed. Of course all cant be deported but the career criminals should be deported and the discussion needs to be how to put pressure on mexico to close their side of the border as well as us closing ours. Thats the only way to fix this. The onslaught cant keep going its costing us billions upon billions that we cant afford anymore.

Obumer does not want to close the border and will not close it as long as his dictatorship is in power.
