Our"lame duck president" keeps on getting 'er done in his final year! :)

WASHINGTON -- The Obama administration will release final standards for power plants on Monday that are, in several key ways, tougher than the draft version of the plan. Both The Washington Post (http://www.washingtonpost.com/national/health-science/white-house-set-to-adopt-sweeping-curbs-on-carbon-pollution/2015/08/01/ba6627fa-385c-11e5-b673-1df005a0fb28_story.html?hpid=z1) and The New York Times (http://www.nytimes.com/2015/08/02/us/obama-to-unveil-tougher-climate-plan-with-his-legacy-in-mind.html?hp&action=click&pgtype=Homepage&module=first-column-region&region=top-news&WT.nav=top-news&_r=0) reported Saturday night that the final version of what the administration calls the "Clean Power Plan" will call for a 32 percent reduction of planet-warming greenhouse gas emissions from power plants, compared to 2005 levels. The draft version of the plan (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/06/02/epa-carbon-rules_n_5428632.html) that the Environmental Protection Agency released last year required a nationwide average of 30 percent reductions. "Climate change is not a problem for another generation, not anymore," Obama says in the video. "That's why on Monday my administration will release the final version of America's Clean Power Plan, the biggest, most important step we've ever taken to combat climate change."

The American Physical Society has already changed their stance on man-made global warming, removing the word "incontrovertible" from its position. They are due to release a new, revised statement sometime this year. Why doesn't Obama wait for the APS to issue their revised statement before plunging headfirst into policy mandates? I'll tell you why. Because "man-made climate change" is largely a pretext for increased government intervention in our personal lives. The authority to regulate "carbon emissions" is a power so totalitarian that it's almost unimaginable.

Sounds a bit conspiratorial, but respect your view.
