Yes, your state may actually charge you on the shipping costs.

States that force you to pay sales taxes perhaps alerted you. But some states go further than that.

Tennesseans actually voted in favor of the internet sales tax. I was one of those who voted in favor. It's a voluntary tax, I'm all for voluntary taxes.

Florida taxs if the company has a presence in the state, amazon opened a whse so they now charge tax.
I buy alot less from amazon now than I did before. Recently they have raised the prices of Prime purchases and give faster and saturday deliveries. That higher cost along with the sales tax makes other places more affordable. Plus i dont have to pay the 100.00 up front prime fee.
