Veteran Washington Post reporter Bob Woodward on Monday compared the email controversy engulfing Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton to the downfall of President Richard Nixon.

On MSNBC's "Morning Joe," Woodward, who through his reporting helped break open the Watergate scandal, said it's at least suspicious that Clinton's emails from her tenure as secretary of state were wiped away (http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/sen.-mccaskill-clinton-email-controversy-a-witch-hunt/article/2570282) from a server she owned privately.


"Follow the trail here," Woodward said. "There are all these emails. Well, they were sent to someone or someone sent them to her. So, if things have been erased here, there's a way to go back to these emails or who received them from Hillary Clinton. So, you've got a massive amount of data in a way, reminds me of the Nixon tapes: Thousands of hours of secretly recorded conversations that Nixon thought were exclusively his."

Which is pretty much the opposite of what Hilderberry is telling us.

Nixon had over 200 hours of taped phone and personal conversations for his own records, as his two predecessors also did. 18.5 minutes was 'accidently' wiped clean by his secretary Rose Mary Woods.

Hillary has "wiped clean' over 30,000 emails.

There was never any concrete proof the missing Nixon tape was anything significant. Nixon was still crucified for the destruction. It ended his presidency.

Hillary's similar action destroyed a significantly higher amount of record keeping. Anything significant on them? Who knows, but if that action was enough to destroy a sitting president, her action should be more than enough to keep her out of the WH.
