View Full Version : Warning: General warning notification

Based on member input, moderation is going to make a new effort to do less policing of the forum and rely more on member reports. If we act on a report, it will be done as consistently as possible and address not just the member behavior but also the history of behavior. If we don't take action, we will try where needed to PM back an explanation why. We do participate as members, so when we do find problems, instead of immediately issuing infractions, we will post general warnings which if ignored will result in infractions. In order to make warnings more visible we will add a prefix http://i.snag.gy/3F75G.jpg to warned threads.

Well, when they recover from the seizures, they won't be able to say they didn't know there were warnings.

The moderators we have now are the best weve ever had in my opinion. Yes, even chris I have to grudgingly admit is doing a good job this time around. Its not easy to be a mod on any forum, this one seems to be particularly tough because the mods participate in the conversations more. Which Im not insinuating is a bad thing at all.

I'm fairly sure some guys would disagree with that, but different strokes for different folks. I have no opinion in that regard other than to say that some things head south with age.

I have always been attracted to faces but I really don't get the big breasts thing especially if they are disproportional.

Eventually it's the person that has to draw you - the package and whatever there is about it that attracts you will eventually wane and what you will be ultimately left with is the person. Focusing on the physical is short term gain for long term pain.

Can you guys put a function in like a link or button in warning notices that takes us directly to the post that caused someone to be infracted or thread tossed? That way we don't have to wade through pages and pages of gobblidygoop to get to the dirt.

The point isn't gossip. It is to remind all that moderation is tougher after a general warning has been issued.

Reminder: When you see http://i.snag.gy/3F75G.jpg on a listed thread or at the top of a thread that means a general warning has been issued in that thread. Typically the warning is to get off each other and back on topic. This is done instead of issuing immediate infractions. But after a general warning has been issued even the slightest ignoring of the warning can merit a thread ban and infraction. So heed the warnings.

No. It makes the icon in the thread so people can see that there is general warning in place.

We let more go prior to a general warning. After, not so much.

Thanks for the question.
