View Full Version : 46% say Hillary should suspend her campaign

46% say (http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/elections/election_2016/should_hillary_clinton_suspend_her_campaign) Hillary should suspend her campaign.

Rasmussen finds that even 1 in 4 democrats favor Hillary suspending her campaign. National security issues and the trust factor is killing her campaign.

Growing national security questions about Hillary Clinton’s use of a private e-mail server during her time as secretary of State are drowning out much of her message as a presidential candidate and causing many of her fellow Democrats to worry about the future of her campaign. Is it time for Clinton to put her campaign on temporary hold?

Voters are almost evenly divided on that question: the latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 46% of Likely U.S. Voters believe Clinton should suspend her campaign for the Democratic presidential nomination until all of the legal questions about her use of the private e-mail server are resolved. Nearly as many (44%) disagree. Nine percent (9%) are undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here (http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/questions/pt_survey_questions/august_2015/questions_hillary_clinton_drop_out_august_23_24_20 15).)

Even one-in-four Democrats (24%) agree that the front-runner for their party’s nomination should suspend her campaign for the time being. But that compares to 73% of Republicans and 46% of voters not affiliated with either major party.

Yeah, I think she should just drop out myself. Too many skeletons in her closet, too much bad ink, even if it's made up bullshit, it still has unfavorably tainted her as a viable candidate.

even if it's made up bull$#@!, it still has unfavorably tainted her as a viable candidate.

So now we should let candidates be run out of political campaigns by "made up bullshit" ?

What we should do is let the investigation take it's course without the constant media over hype of the story. We also need to see more Democrats stick up for her "innocence until proven guilty" , even if they prefer Bernie Sanders.

It does taint a politicians political career.

Wait a second, this has merit. This is so true in many respects, the panic a bit pre-mature, asking her to drop out for 'made up nonsense' is kneejerk and frankly unfair. I agree.

I'm just a wee bit... maybe even a little surprised by her supporters though......having to remind the Democrat tent of the innocent until proven guilty rule that you're calling for here. Like they showed the police officer in the Michael Brown incident, I'm talking the same innocent until proven guilty afforded George Zimmerman that nearly every one of you displayed. Is that the innocent until proven guilty you're speaking to here?

Emails with top secret movement data on the Ambassador to Libya was on Hillary's server. She is toast politically (except for the boot-lickers) and should be in jail or put in a situation with Islamist on the warpath next to her position.

I'm not so sure she is "toast" politically. She's survived several incidents of illegal activity from insider trading to fraudulent land deals. This may be just another one.

And I strongly suspect that if those figures are correct, those in favor of her suspending her campaign also do not believe in nor are they in favor of the democratic process of a person being declared INNOCENT until proven guilty. How many times do these fools have to be reminded of the fact that she is not being accused of anything that was illegal as has been brought out in numerous reports. It has all been mere allegations. That is why Hillary will most certainly NOT QUIT or suspend her campaign. She has no reason to at all! None whatsoever. No court has convicted her of any wrong-doing, so why throw in the towel? That's not Hillary's style at all. She is a fighter and a WINNER!

Hillary deserves our Full Support since she has not been convicted of any wrong-doing and won't be!

A competent court of law would have to actually indict and then convict her of illegalities and wrong-doing, which would be very tough to do given that she has done nothing wrong plus the fact that plenty of other government officials have done the same thing. People may not like the way she went about doing things but that is hardly a reason to ask her to suspend her campaign, something only the right-wingers would be most happy for her to do. Won't happen though! She still TOPS her competitors in light of these nasty, egregious, and false accusations and she will sail through any hearings and emerge victorious to go on and Win the White House in 2016!!

She should withdraw. Bernie, not Hillary, represents the ideals the Democratic Party claims to support. If they have any integrity left, she won't have to drop out, the whole party will just shift their support to Bernie.

Hillary Clinton is getting from Obama much more than the keys to the oval office. She's inheriting the White House's biggest darkest secret... one that takes the cake for the betrayal of the century. Forget Benghazi, forget Obamacare. This is so dark, it had to be buried 10,000 feet deep under the Cheyenne Mountain.

If she can't get elected there will be no elections

Under the smokescreen of Ferguson, Baltimore and other attempts at racial baiting, the liberal elites are preparing something more devastating than anything Americas have ever seen. This disaster will lead to the total devastation of the US economy, and more -the destruction of the very fabric of this country and the loss of our most fundamental freedoms.Their agenda is simple: They want to transform America into their socialist utopia... where martial law replaces the constitution, and set up a police state where Christians and conservatives are being sent to concentration camps. And the liberal socialists rule with a iron fist.

Sanders is the best candidate from a governance standpoint. However, Clinton is the best candidate from an electoral perspective.

Sanders will loose. Clinton could win. Dems would be prudent to go with the most electable. It's a horrible thing to say, but it's a reality.

Sanders has about the same chance of losing as Clinton had. To suggest he's guaranteed to lose is to be ignorant of how American politics works.

Both the Republican and Democratic candidate, regardless of who they are, is guaranteed between 45-48% of the vote. It's that remaining minority percentage that decides the election. I don't have the statistics, but I'm willing to bet most independents are younger people, and Sanders will win the young vote in a landslide.

The whole Benghazi thing is made up bullshit. It's a witch hunt from the jump. The private email server, so what? The emails, weren't classified, even you pointed out that despite the fact that information contained in them should automatically deem them classified material, they WEREN'T classified officially. (Little thing about the law, if you don't already know, should be, is not a reason to prosecute someone.) They weren't, even if they were classified later, the ones that she received were not.
