Wait. Is Ben Carson Pro-Choice?

"The attention to Carson’s ambiguous position on abortion rights comes after it was revealed that Carson once used aborted fetuses in his medical research (https://drjengunter.wordpress.com/2015/08/12/ben-carson-did-research-on-17-week-fetal-tissue/), to which he offered an incomprehensible explanation (http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2015/08/13/ben-carsons-tortured-defense-of-his-research-with-fetal-tissue/). Back in 1992, he disavowed (http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2015/08/13/ben-carsons-tortured-defense-of-his-research-with-fetal-tissue/) an anti-choice campaign ad that featured his remarks, telling (http://www.politico.com/story/2015/08/ben-carson-abortion-stance-121456.html) the Baltimore Sun at the time that he did not believe in legal sanctions on abortion and had referred patients to doctors who offer abortion services:"

==========================================

Aborted fetus use, huh? Why the ambiguity then? Is he for abortion or isn't he? Thanks to Right Wing Watch for this report.

If it is true then it's going to be very hard to explain. I'm not sure voters even care, however, considering Trump is polling the way he is after being a Democrat and supporting Democrats financially for years. For some reason voters seem to only care what they say their position is today, regardless of how they have behaved in the past. I think that is too trusting.

You have a good point there, Adelaide, about how he is going to explain this one!

According to Carson and some deluded members of this forum, he was unaware that were aborted fetuses. :rollseyes:

We discussed his research elsewhere. My conclusion is this, whether you're pro-life or pro-choice determines how you view his explanations. The OP is clearly pro-choice.

It may be funny to you but someone has to keep a good vigil, a hawk-eyed watch on right-wingers and report on their doings.

Who, left-wingers?

And the statists watch the anarchists? Oh, wait, the state already watches all of us.

A death.

Homicide.

Justification.

Not necessarily. There are many non-partisan watchdog groups who would be more than happy to engage in this assignment.

It's one thing for the state to watch their residents when they are not doing anything illegal. That is a great overreach. But when it comes to political parties whose primary candidates and their views can greatly determine the direction of this country, it makes good, prudent sense to have an honest group watch over their doings. Right Wing Watch does a great job otherwise how would we know what the GOP is doing and the effect it has on the citizenry as a whole? You certainly wouldn't expect for them to police themselves as that would be the fox guarding the hen house.

Rightwingwatch.org, and its parent, People For the American Way, are definitely leftwing. I'm sure they do a bang up job for their agendas.
