View Full Version : Will Conservatives Reject Obamacare’s Rebates?

Here’s a chance for all who think Obamacare is a socialist Big Government scheme to put their money where their ideology is: If you truly hate the Affordable Care Act, you must send back any of those rebate checks you receive from your insurance companies thanks to the new law.

This is just common sense. If you think free enterprise should be liberated from Washington’s interference, what right does Uncle Sam have to tell the insurers they owe you a better deal? Keeping those refunds will make you complicit with Leviathan.

And here’s a challenge to Mitt Romney. You are running a deceitful ad about waivers the Obama administration has yet to issue based on rules allowing governors to operate their welfare-to-work programs more effectively. Will you please stop talking about your devotion to states’ rights?

I am overtaxed. Why shouldn't I be able to keep more of my money?

Is that a YES or a NO on giving the Rebate back?

It's really an easy question.

What idiocy. If you object to your tax rate you should send back your rebate check! Accepting that rebate shows approval!

What difficulty? It was quickly and easily identified as a stupid question. Granted, it is amusing that you thought this was a gotcha.

Gladly, provided Obamacare is repealed.

Obamacare is a socialist Big Government scheme

Another mistake. It's not socialism but social democracy. Social democracy is probably the most insidious form of socialism. Under a purely socialist system like communist Russia everything was dictates, under social democracy people under the pretense of freedom vie politically for favors which corrupts government.

Determine the height to which the ball rises before it reaches its peak.

A government spends 40 percent more than it takes in. That government pursues policies that discourage economic growth and the higher tax collections that said growth would bring. That government is incurring debt at a rate that will have total debt exceeding GNP in months. Even if all discretionary spending of that government, including defense, was zeroed out tomorrow, that government would still be in the red due to the fact that it has promised more entitlements than it can pay for.

How long before it collapses fiscally?

Ask a math question that has serious relevance to everyone, including yourself.

Another better question to ask is why do some already have waivers and Obamacare hasn't even kicked in yet? Moreover, it should be reported which Democrats took those waivers themselves. That should be upfront and center to the American people.

Another question: now that Obamacare is not based on the Commerce Clause or the Necessary and Proper Clause, but rather is a tax, are the waivers legal? The federal government is suppose to tax the states equally.....

No wonder, they are a bad insurance company taking advantage of you. I didn't get one because my insurance company spends it's money on it's clients.

Well they must have screwed their clients or you wouldn't have got a rebate.
