"It will also push for legislation to prevent gun sales from going through without completed background checks (something currently dubbed a "Charleston Loophole"), and for legislation to prohibit domestic abusers and stalkers from buying and possessing guns. And it will call for repealing the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act, in order to make sure dealers and manufacturers are held accountable for negligence when crimes are committed with products they’ve sold."

"What is wrong with us? That we can't stand up to the NRA to the gun lobby and the gun manufacturers they represent?" she said at an organizing event at Broward College in Ft. Lauderdale. "You know, this is not just tragic. We don't just need to pray for people, we need to act and we need to build a movement."

I am 100% in agreement with Hillary Clinton's astute observation and position on this issue. Those who sell guns should be held fully accountable and liable when the guns they sell are used to kill others. After all, we now have laws that make bars and bartenders fully liable if they serve more alcohol to an already intoxicated person and they go out and kill someone while driving home. A new movement thus, needs to occur with gun sales in order to stop these heinous crimes from being committed by people whom conservatives try to blame on being mentally unstable. However, the fact remains that even if they were mentally unstable if they did not have access to guns they would not be able to shoot people. So, the answer is not to put them all in a "loony-bin", as some disrespectfully call it, but to tighten up the law to allow for greater background checks to help get guns only to responsible citizens who really need them and/or who request them and not to those who are not mentally stable. Thanks to ABC News for this report.

This is nothing more than empty hyperbole duplicating laws already in existence and whose targeted audience are low information fools who lap this thetoric up like willing dupes.

Hillary should really start handing these out to the tiny audiences that attend her laughably inept rallies:

Astute? Nothing she suggests would have prevented any mass shooting. It's just feel good politics, it'll garner votes.

No, we will more likely lose more liberty to security.

Ironic in that history has been completely against the leftist gun grabbing agenda.

Hillary’s ‘Gun Show Loophole’ Proposal Is A Joke (http://thefederalist.com/2015/10/05/hillarys-gun-show-loophole-proposal-is-a-joke/)

...Slate’s Josh Voorhees characterized Clinton’s plan as “clever,” which leads me to the inescapable conclusion that neither Voorhees nor Hillary Clinton is even remotely familiar with existing federal gun laws.

For starters, the federal government already has the statutory authority to define who does and does not qualify as an individual “in the business of selling firearms.” It derives that authority from 18 U.S. Code § 921. Here’s how the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) specifically defines whether an individual is engaged in the business of selling firearms and should therefore be subject to federal firearms licensee (FFL) requirements...

...Contra Hillary Clinton’s campaign, “high-volume private vendors” cannot legally exist under current law. Under the ATF’s existing definition, it is impossible to sell high volumes of firearms without triggering the definition of a dealer in firearms....

...In the same vein, there’s no Internet gun sale loophole, either. You can’t legally buy a gun off the Internet from some random guy ten states away and have it show up on your doorstep the next morning....

The only federal background check exemption that exists is for transactions between private, non-FFL individuals who reside in the same state. That’s it. There’s no Internet exemption. There’s no gun show exemption. The only exemption is for transactions with zero federal nexus: no federal firearms license, and no purchase or sale across state lines.

Now, if Hillary thinks Congress should pass a law regulating private transactions between private individuals who reside in the same state, that’s her prerogative. But she should at least be honest about what she’s doing and about what authority the president has to do it....

Name the issue and you have the same response. There's no room for anything other than partisan nonsense with you.

I am gald to here that you are all for accountability.

For example the last shooter passed all of the required background checks.

So should the person or persons that approved the sale working in DC be held accountable for telling the dealer that it was OK to sell the gun?

And if we are talking about all of the sales that happen and gun stores that are not ran though the background check system???

that is already illegal.

And I want to know if we are going to hold the car companies and dealerships accountable when their car is driven by a drunk driver and kills someone? That can be prevented.

What about the Democrats that are not going to vote with the Bamster for more gun control, are they wrong too?

I wonder if the Gun grabbers that disarmed the people in China, Germany and USSR before millions were slaughtered are considered by the left to be on the right side of history?

The funny part of this will make it harder for Hillary in FL. CO. and VA three of the battle ground states.

Not that I think she will win the nomination anyway. I believe that Biden will be the sacrificial lamb.

Unless the Democrats have already resolved themselves to the loss in 2016, why Biden? Why would anyone think the Vice President for a failed administration would do anything more than 4 more years of economic failure? I think if it Biden, they know already they're going to lose. If Gore emerges from the crypt they think they still have a shot.
