The Oregon Health Authority’s $500 million budget hole was a hot topic of discussion at a Monday meeting of a House oversight committee.

“With the declining federal dollars, how are we going to pay for this? What’s the plan going forward? Are we just going to shut everything down?” asked Rep. Jim Weidner, a member of the House Interim Committee on Health Care. “If we’re not thinking about this, a lot of people are going to get hurt.”

I don't see the problem here......just tell the people you're going to raise their taxes and why. In this BOOMING Obamanomics economy that shouldn't be a problem. With the new $15 an hour minimum wage they can easily afford another $50 to $100 a month to pay for Medicaid the Federal Government doesn't....right?

At some point the folks that eagerly jumped to expand medicaid will need to get out of dodge before the mobs with the torches and pitch forks catch up with them. Hopefully by then they'll pass legislation that if they have major shortfalls, the pensions and retirement benefits of the ones who decided it was a good idea to expand medicaid will be cut if not eliminated.
