Dont Fret, Rands campaign was shot before this trial

Former Republican presidential hopeful Ron Paul forcefully accused federal prosecutors on Wednesday of timing indictments against three of his former campaign staffers specifically to hurt the political aspirations of his son (http://dmreg.co/1Luqcvp), Rand.Paul, a former U. S. congressman from Texas, came to Des Moines' federal courthouse to testify for prosecutors against two of his former top staffers, Jesse Benton and Dimitri Kesari. The two operatives are charged in a scheme to illegally hide payments made to former Iowa state Sen. Kent Sorenson, allegedly for his endorsement of Paul's 2012 bid.

But Paul was not happy to be testifying against the two, particularly because Benton is married to his granddaughter, he said. The former congressman went on to say he believes federal prosecutors intentionally announced indictments on Aug. 5, one day before the first Republican primary debate that featured Rand Paul.

I don't think it would be surprising if true.

They already know he won't win, they don't want him establishing a following. Can you imagine if the average person bothered to read the Constitution and started to hold the federal government accountable to it?

He already has a following and I just dont believe the feds view him as any threat. I would think they view trump as more of a threat.

Truth is Rand Paul is going nowhere. His following is disillusioned with his flipflopping and his real problem is, hes not a real libertarian or a real conservative republican. He floats in neverneverland.

If Ron Paul was younger he would be making headway right now today. He was honest and like his positions or not he stood steadfastly by them no matter how unpopular. You have to respect a man of conviction. I respected Ron Paul, I have no use for Rand Paul

Both father and son are a little bit crazy. No one needs to "hurt" Rand's campaign. He'll do that all on his own.

His dad being the far better choice of the two

Yea, because limited, constitutional government is soooooo insane. And the idea that we should have a humble, thoughtful foreign policy is the mark of a real madman. It's much better to be a "sane" person who puts their faith in politicians and big government.

He's a million times better than any lying scum bag you would support, I'm sure.

I don't find either of them crazy, but then, I may define crazy differently than you. To me, crazy is thinking we can continue to spend more and more money while sitting on over $18 trillion (and counting) in debt. To me, crazy is continuing to overthrow Middle Eastern governments and expecting peace and prosperity to result. To me, crazy is giving more of a shit about the color of the suits in government than what the people in the suits do up there.

Though I never voted for Ron Paul nor will I vote for Rand until he gets the job of being Governor and has some starch in his shirt, he and his dad are very fine people. They deeply care for American freedom and try to tell us why we are losing it.

But what has the left to offer. Batchit Sanders. An avowed socialist. Hillary has a foul mouth and treats the help like garbage.

This is not some smear. This is well known about her in various books where people worked with her and had to endure her inhuman treatment of them.

As a career FBI officer, Gary Aldrich was at the pinnacle of his career. Having served with Pres. Reagan and Bush, he found the Clinton Administration to be a stark, horrible contrast.

As one of two FBI agents permanently assigned to the White House, one of his responsibilities was to do the background checks on White House staff and advisors. At almost every turn, he was stonewalled and not allowed to do even perfunctory checks of Clinton's friends and associates... Though it is supposed to be complete within 90 days of the new President assuming office, many people never did get properly "vetted".

Another major disappointment was the crude and vulgar language used by Clinton and his First Lady, the "F" word being quite popular.

Then there was the revulsion he experienced when asked to help decorate the White House Christmas tree, only to discover that the majority of the "ornaments" were sex toys.

There are many other examples of the appaling lack of character exhibited by the Clintons and their cronies... so much so that Aldrich finally had enough, and retired early...

The book isn't a literary masterpiece, it's a litany of the excesses, abuse of power, and moral turpitude of the persons we should be able to look to for leadership and moral courage.

Crazy is a bit too descriptive, lets say to many he has crazy ideas. Like legalizing all drugs to many thats just outright insane. There will always be a few that agree.

The trouble with fiscally responsible it most always screws the people that have nothing or the least.

What's insane is criminalizing self-ownership and self-determination, and it will be changed. You can count on that...

Right. Most Americans want more government control over their lives. That is why they dismiss Rand.
