Why would anyone purchase fake Twitter followers?

Who gives a rats about "Twitter?" How would fake followers aid one politically?

I'm probably showing my age here. There's only one thing that impresses me less than Facebook and that is Twitter.

I have a friend who worked at a newspaper and the competition to be king of the social media was intense. He couldn't understand how some of the nitwits had so many Twitter followers. Perhaps we've found the answer.

How's that twitter thing work for Polling? I am not against the Twittersphere. An Average Joe can have one of those accounts and Tweet something directly to someones azz. In Public Office and or Stardom Status. Next thing ya know everybody is talking about it.

Personally I think all those on the Right should have gotten this. Then we could have just been the ones slamming the left and those media Peeps Big Time!.

It's rather like the bogus polls where the pollsters grossly over sample the liberals and then proudly announce Obama is leading. If you convince people the election is already one some don't bother voting and others jump on the bandwagon. I remember hearing a few days before the election between President Bush and Vice President Gore, the election President Bush won, a Newsweek poll that put Gore ahead by 15 points.
