The U.S. will intensify its military action in Syria, deploying fewer than 50 special operations forces inside the country for the first time to help coordinate the fight against Islamic State, White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said Friday. The new action represents an escalation of the U.S. fight against the terrorist group in Syria, where Russia has begun its own air campaign against rebels fighting the regime of President Bashar al-Assad. U.S. officials have complained that the Russians have largely targeted moderate rebel forces instead of Islamic State militants.
President Barack Obama has repeatedly said that local forces must lead the fight against Islamic State, with training and assistance from the U.S. A White House official, who asked not to be identified in advance of an announcement, said in an e-mail that the special operations forces would coordinate local ground forces and the U.S.-led coalition engaging with Islamic State.

The US claims Assad has to go. Solution. Democratic elections.

Of course with rebels and IS controlling a lot of Syria, there certainly is no way to hold elections.

If the people of Syria want democracy, they can institute it.

If they don't, they may be a less free society, but it is their choice, not ours.

As long as Syria, and its official leader, Assad, have not done what Saddam Hussein did, finance, aid and supply Terrorists attacking the United States, we've got no right to go into Syria, to try to "Fix" anything.

Let's say for the sake of argument, that Assad did send bombers to blow up several buildings in Miami, Florida. We STILL couldn't do anything effective about Syria, because we have a treasonous Commander-in-Chief, and a Democratic Party, OWS, and Leftie sabotaged economy!

Corruption in America is rampant, with the dead filing for and receiving payments from SSI and ObamaCare! We no longer have the MONEY to wage war. It was stolen by the Lefties.

Until Obama is gone, and then we have several years, if not decades, to put our military and economy (which funds the Military), back into order, we NO LONGER have the unified national will or ability to intercede in places like Iraq or Syria.

We need to pull ALL American Troops back to American Soil, and use them to police our borders, and do sweeps for Illegal Immigrants across the entire nation.

America has been Sabotaged to defeat by a treasonous Commander-in-Chief and his allies in the Democratic Party!

Geee??? All they have done is allow nutters to lob a rocket here and there into Israel to keep them happy.

Assad seems to be a friend to the Christians and they (those in his nation) support him. We are backing the head cutters.

We will not be happy, it seems, until we have gotten rid of all moderates in the region.

I don't believe this. Our President got up in front of the TV cameras not all that long ago and told us very decisively that there would be no US troops deployed to Syria. He was quite clear.

Based on his public statements on this, I'd have to say this story is a plant by the vast right wing conspiracy.

America's time as the world's super power is over, Obama made SURE of it.

We still have power enough to control our own borders, if we use our power at home.

Let the world fend for itself for a while.

Let the world pay their own defense costs for a good long while.

Sure, its a bad idea, but it is allot better than what Obama has been doing.
