Obama: Trump's Immigration Plan Would Cost 'Hundreds of Billions'

“The notion that we’re gonna deport 11, 12 million people from this country -- first of all, I have no idea where Mr. Trump thinks the money’s gonna come from. It would cost us hundreds of billions of dollars to execute that,” the president told Stephanopoulos in an interview at the White House."

“Imagine the images on the screen flashed around the world as we were dragging parents away from their children, and putting them in what, detention centers, and then systematically sending them out,” the president said. “Nobody thinks that that is realistic. But more importantly, that’s not who we are as Americans.”

Thanks to ABC News for this report.

Imho, Trump is way out in left field with his crazy crud about wanting to deport people who are here and who have children who are natural-born American citizens. As the president says, such an ambitious move would cost mega-tons of money to accomplish but would also be heart-breaking to common decency. There is nothing humane in the act of separating young children from their parents who are being sent back because it would be the greatest misuse of power this country has ever known.

Don't worry, the only way Trump will get to see the inside of The Oval Office is with Ticket, just like you and me.

Trump knows how to negociate

obumer and many of the republicans in congress do not.

he aims high and never settles for less than the market will bear.

we may not be able to deport all 20-25 million illegals living in America today.

But first trump builds the fence, attacks birthright citizenship, goes after illegal workers and deports - as a minimum - illegals with a criminal record or who are not gainfully employed.

So illegals in the welfare system are toast even if they have anchor babies.

and so are rapists, drunk drivers, gang bangers and other criminals who have anchor baby children.

That alone will remove millions of undesirables who will not be able to return because of the Trump wall.

Then he may offer liberals a limited compromise for the rest.

A green card but no citizenship for instance.

Ah yes, the Big Bully Republican Approach that always seems so comfortable and right to be used by Republicans but at the expense of many others.

Deporting illegal aliens and defending the border from their reentry is good for American citizens.

No, they're laughing at Trump and the idiots who think he'd make a good president.

It's funny and sad at the same time.

Someone tell Obama HIS immigration plans have cost us hundreds of billions in the last 8 yrs. I would rather spend more billions stopping illegal immigration that spend billions allowing it to continue and rape the country
