I started thinking about this yesterday when my left wing family and I did not have the usual political arguments, (they hate Hillary).

But they could not see what I was not excited about Trump. (that is who they are supporting)

My ultra liberal brother in law pointed out that he was the only one in both parties with a record of success. (flawed though it is)

Mush as I hate to admit this? He is right Trump, Carly, and Dr. Carson are the only ones with a record of success. And all of those have their flaws. and 2 of them don't have a chance.

Cruz/Rubio though still my favorites, was elected to stop the runaway policies of Obama? Did he succeed

Hell NO, they did not do anything but cast symbolic votes.

Hillary, is a text book case for failure, while she was elected to a position of power and appointed to one as well, He actions in those positions are one failure after another. Her family life is a total and complete disaster, The charity is a front to fun their lifestyle?

Bernie, Is a self proclaimed socialist, and I think that we have been through the failures of that policy enough.

Jim Webb. Had a great record of success, and he is Gone.

Seems like the American people deserve better.

Your "left wing family" is for Trump?

Well, guess that sorta makes sense. ;-)

I bet a lot of liberals vote for Trump in the general, if he gets there. They will just lie about it.

Trump is not a liberal or a conservative. He has some of both. Ultimately he is an anti-establishment populist.

The news is out, his supporters are Blue Collar, and that is a lot of Democrats.

Trump was a Democrat until a few years ago. and he is a major progressive. There is very little about Trump that should not appeal to the left.

He is a big government progressive.

I'm not going to guess at the numbers but between Debbie Wasserman Schultzs' antics; if Sanders looses, I know of a handful liberal/progressives that may vote for trump over clinton, because they despise hillary that much.

Nah, he has very few liberal supporters at this point - they're essentially the old racist teabagging crowd who "wants their Amurica back".

The Tea Party(ies) focus on fiscal issues and smaller federal government. The rest is your wet dream.

Gee I wonder why?

The old conservative, Christian, white America had a growing middle class...

whereas the new liberal, progressive, anti Christian, minority Amerika has a decling middle class

I am sure that there are a few TEA party folks that will support him, but not many. First you are not smart enough to know that the TEA party does not care about race, or marriage, or even that much about immigration, they care about reducing the size and cost of Government.

That means Trump is just the opposite of what they are looking for.

Sad really when people don't take the time to find out what is actually happening and depend on talking points and propaganda

Yes HP would be in great shape today if they had just stayed in the printer business???

That computer thing that she got them into was a bust for sure.

There are a lot of reasons to hate her, breaking the Union and off shoring the jobs for sure. But the company would not even exist today if not for her entry into the computer business.

Close. Tea Party(ies).

We know that hard left shuts down when they hear the word "bottom up organization," but stay calm, it is true. People don't need a strong top down organization to survive. The Tea Party(ies) are bottom up organizations.

Most xenophobes are Teapers zelmo. And those are the guys Trump speaks to. But your right in a sense that Calgary Ted probably enjoys more of their support.

Thankfully, only 17% of America approves of the TP at this point (they approve of themselves ;-)

Top activists see the plainspoken and combative Mr. Trump (http://www.washingtontimes.com/topics/donald-trump/)as a Ronald Reagan or John Wayne figure who they believe can unite conservative voters to win the White House and put the country back on track.

“We don’t really view him as a true tea party candidate,” said Ken Crow, a tea party activist in Iowa who is supporting Mr. Trump (http://www.washingtontimes.com/topics/donald-trump/). “He doesn’t have a history of being real conservative on a lot of issues, but we do see him as probably the only one who can save the country. That’s why the support level is what it is for him.”

Actually the only reason that the disapprove of the TEA party is because they, like you, don't have a clue at what they stand for.

The Media was looking so hard for something to pin on them, that they started blaming everything on them

The T = taxed E = Enough A = Already party. Is concerned with lower taxes and smaller government.

Please Explain? Because the only party that I know that passes legislation designed to keep minorities in poverty and despair is the Democrats.
