O’Malley event draws one attendee, who remains uncommitted

By Jessica Chasmar - The Washington Times - Tuesday, December 29, 2015

An Iowa campaign event for Democratic presidential candidate Martin O'Malley drew one attendee who remains uncommitted to the former Maryland governor.

“The very last event of the night, we actually had a whopping total of one person show up, but by God, he was glad to see me. So we spent the time with him,” Mr. O’Malley told MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” on Tuesday, speaking from Des Moines, Politico reported.

Sounds more like a Hillary rally. Poor Marty, maybe he just didn't understand that he's a placeholder, nothing more than a cardboard cut out to take up space on Hillarys stage. Does O'Malley really think he ever had a chance? If he did, then he belongs in the Bernie bin.

On 'Face the Nation" Gov. Martin O'Malley (D-MD) Says that Americans are not better off than they were four years ago (September 2, 2012).

I tend to agree with him on that point with a less than 2% mean GDP growth for all of Obama's 7 years in office, we are only marginally better off than we were in 2009.

Then there's this.....

Audit: Maryland misallocated $28.4M for health exchange

By BRIAN WITTE - Associated Press - Friday, March 27, 2015

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) - Maryland misallocated $28.4 million in federal money for its flawed health care exchange and should pay the money back, according to a federal audit set to be released Friday.

The audit has political implications in a state where top officials had hoped to make Maryland a national leader in federal health care reform, only to produce one of the most flawed health exchanges in the country.

Former Gov. Martin O’Malley, a Democrat who highlights his approach to using technology for data-driven government efficiency and accountability, is considering running for president.

$28.4 million taxpayers dollars "mis-allocated"?

I guess that's why I have heard him referred to as O'Failey. On to The Bern.....

Bernie's just a loon as evidenced by this statement....."I think for his working class and middle class supporters, I think we can make the case that if we really want to address the issues that people are concerned about...we need policies that bring us together that take on the greed of Wall Street, the greed of corporate America, and create a middle class that works for all of us rather than an economy that works just for a few," (http://www.cbsnews.com/news/why-bernie-sanders-thinks-he-can-win-donald-trump-supporters/)

The folks Bernie thinks he can appeal to have 401(k) retirement plans that depend on Wall St doing well or their retirement vaporizes. if he thinks he can appeal to the middle class with his far left wing nut philosophies......he's nuttier than I thought.

As you quoted, Bernie said we need an economy that works for everyone, not just Wall Street. That doesn't mean we need to destroy Wall Street, it means we need an economy that works for Wall Street but also works for everyone else. That is what "all" means.

Charles Koch agrees with that point as well in the interview I watched.

Even though they've benefited from crony capitalism, as has every large business, at least the Koch brothers recognize the dangers.
