At Hillary Clinton (http://topics.wsj.com/person/C/Hillary-Clinton/6344)’s confirmation hearing for secretary of state, she promised she would take “extraordinary steps…to avoid even the appearance of a conflict of interest.”

Later, more than two dozen companies and groups and one foreign government paid former President Bill Clinton a total of more than $8 million to give speeches around the time they also had matters before Mrs. Clinton’s State Department, according to a Wall Street Journal analysis.

Go ahead and roll Bill out there.............

Mr. Clinton, for example, collected $1 million for two appearances sponsored by the Abu Dhabi government that were arranged while Mrs. Clinton was secretary of state. His speeches there came during and after the State Department and the Department of Homeland Security were involved in discussions about a plan to open a U.S. facility in the Abu Dhabi airport to ease visa processing for travel to the U.S. The State Department supported the facility in the face of substantial opposition from unions, members of Congress and others.

One week after the second 20 minute speech and the 1 million dollar payoff it was approved! What more do you need to see? This is what these people are about. They have no integrity, it hurt our airline companies. Unbelievable.

If you vote for her you have no integrity or honor.

Looks like that's the way it works with the Clinton's. I imagine if you're a foreign government want favors from the State Dept......you hire Bill for a speaking engagement at a huge fee to talk.

Bill Clinton is a Private Citizen

So What? As long as he has Secret Service protection he isn't truly a private citizen. Has he dismissed his Secret Service protection?

are you suggesting that former presidents do not revert to being private citizens once they leave office?

Except that Wild Bill's member isn't all that private.

are you suggesting that former presidents do not revert to being private citizens once they leave office? Not until they no longer want Secret Service protection or pay for it themselves.
