“Major GOP donors and fundraisers are wondering whether they’re wasting their money on super-PACs,” The Hill reports.

“They say they’re not ready to abandon the super-PACs, but they’re starting to look for ways to make them more effective during a presidential cycle that has challenged conventions about how to spend political donations.”

“The cautionary tale cited by nearly every donor or fundraiser interviewed on or off the record has been Bush. He has fallen in polls despite the more than $50 million already spent on his behalf by the group Right to Rise, which far outraised every other super-PAC with its mid-year haul of $103 million.”

Most political donors waste their money. There is only one winner; the rest donated to losers.

The Dem Party and Unions wasted over 30 million attempting to defeat Scott Walker, for instance.

Planned Parenthood just announced that they're going to commit 20 million to Hillary's campaign.

Oh. Wait. That last was an example of the American Taxpayer wasting 500 million.

No problem.

For a nominal consultants fee of $1 million I will tell them how to make their money work in future elections.

This is good news; so corporate money and big money donors can't buy elections as liberals and libertarians constantly cackle about!!

Ah, don't let those groups kid you. They've got ten times more money to burn, as usual, and could care less about emptying their bank accounts too if it will prove they supported the Republican ticket. So, let 'em spend till they end up in the poor house. And speaking of poor, poor ol' Jeb is toast anyway at this point.

Poor suckers who wasted millions on Baby Bush. I'd ask for my money back - worst candidate ever!

I believe that the smart ones like Adelson and the Koch boys have sworn off wasting money in a primary season.

Soon they'll learn (again) not to waste it in a general. :D

People haven't voted yet.

A VP hasn't selected yet. Nor other appointees......

We are a ways away from wasted just yet. But yes somebody/many will have contributed to losers. It may not have been wasted. If Rubio is named AG did you waste it or did you get access? Maybe you overpaid?

What qualification does Rubio have to be Attorney General?

No, it doesn't. What's your favorite word? Oh, yeah...DUMB!

Big money did buy an election. They supported a winner. The fact that some donors lost money on a loser doesn't invalidate the power of big money in politics because the winner still won because they had MORE big money than the rest.

I think that he was just using a name as an example. Actually Christie would make a good AG

the big money is hoping for an establishment candidate, anyone outside the box, is not going to be good for them.

They can and they do. It is an inversion. And they may lose or win, but of their candidate wins is where they are going to extract all the profit from their inversion.

American system of elections is corrupt and elitist from the very beginning.
