I'm not completely convinced but though this a good argument...

Advocates of individual rights sometimes debate whether it’s better to vote for the Republican, or to abstain altogether (or vote for a third-party candidate with zero possibility of victory.)

I like the way Ayn Rand put it back in 1972, the last time (other than 2008) when we had an unblinking socialist on a major party ticket. “If there were some campaign organization called ‘Anti-Nixonites for Nixon,’ it would name my position … The worst thing said about Nixon is that he cannot be trusted, which is true: he cannot be trusted to save this country. But one thing is certain: [George] McGovern can destroy it.”

In that sense, I’d say I’m an “anti-Romneyite for Romney.” With Obama in office, we’re going down the tubes for sure. We may well go down anyway with Romney, and Romney is no radical for capitalism (i.e. freedom) and individual rights. Radical U-turns in economic policy are what’s required to truly save America. But if there’s any time left to buy, perhaps Romney could buy it.

Given a choice between sure destruction and probable destruction, I’ll take probable destruction—while still fighting for survival, as much as possible. So long as there’s essential freedom of speech, there’s some measure of hope to persuade people to partially or completely reverse course from Obama’s single-mindedly disastrous course....

Yep. Much as my wife and I favor Gary Johnson, this is the conclusion we came to as well.

After 40 years the GOP is still pulling this crap, no I don't feel obligated to vote for Romney. I might but its not looking good since he decided "he like some of Obamacare" as I suggested he would eventually warm up to it as we got closer to the election. I don't think he has any desire to eliminate Obamacare. Or even worry about any other issue out of liberal issues.

Can he manage our decline better then Obama, sure I imagine he can. Am I really worry about how badly our obvious decline happens, not really. Decline is decline an the stupid people we have voting an with no moral compass to secure their heading we are in for some bad times I fear.

The only reason I may hold my nose and vote for Romney is the fear of what Obama can do to SCOTUS.

GOP can't sell Romney ...

They have nothing to offer with this guy. Everything about him is problematic:

Bain - Vulture capitalism, lost American jobs, Chinese slave labor
Governorship of Mass - While in charge he started up ObamaCare's model, RomneyCare.
Winter Olympics - Rumors or sweetheart deals.
Rich guy - Out of Touch
Foreign trip disaster - Foreign policy incompetence
Tax returns - He's hiding something
Ryan - Ryan's Budget
The RNC - A laughable disaster, he forgot to even mention the troops in his speech, the rest all the lies
Every time he opens his mouth - All of the lies and flip-flops

Romney is trying to back into the White House with ginning up the resentment, anger, ignorance and fears of older white working class voters. I don't think that there's enough anger or White People out there to do the job.

Just being the white guy in the race won't seal the deal. America is changing and there's nothing he can do about it but suppress Votes, because there's no chance in adding Votes. No one who's Voting for him is even happy with their choice ... they're just holding their nose and hoping for a early Snow-Job.

This election is about Obama, Romney is lucky, no he can win on his own. Yet this is about Obama once again, Romney rides the coattails of those who don't want Obama, do we need to say it again?

That's why you don't have a chance to win; Demographics are not on your side.

Even Fact Check, and the Washington Post don't agree with Cigar. And they are essentially organs of the DNC.

And what are you and the DNC doing to sell Obama? What are his accomplishments?

Obama increased the official debt by ~$5T. Nobody else did that. So he is #1 there.

I would vote for the Mayor of Norfolk instead of Obama if he was running and I can't stand our Mayor.
