I guess they don't ever listen to the news either. You pretty much have had to avoid all news in order not to have heard of Scalia, at least if you are an adult. His opinion in the same-sex marriage decision saturated the news just last year. I suspect that even people living in the Arctic Circle have heard of Scalia.

That is amazing! They may not have heard of him personally but I'm sure they felt the sting of his rulings with the majority quite uncomfortably. Now they have a chance to get involved and prevent that from ever happening again by having someone less of a right-winger to enter the Court to replace him.
