After Further Review, It’s Up to CongressWhile Article II (http://usgovinfo.about.com/od/usconstitution/a/a2s1.htm) of the Constitution first spoke to Electoral College ties, the U.S. Congress (http://usgovinfo.about.com/od/uscongress/a/congpowers.htm)would proceed according to the 12th Amendment (http://usgovinfo.about.com/od/usconstitution/a/amend12.htm), ratified in 1804, which states that, “theHouse of Representatives (http://usgovinfo.about.com/od/uscongress/a/abouthouse.htm) shall choose immediately, by ballot, the President” and “theSenate (http://usgovinfo.about.com/od/uscongress/a/aboutsenate.htm) shall choose the Vice-President (http://usgovinfo.about.com/od/thepresidentandcabinet/a/The-Vice-President-Of-The-United-States.htm).”
Note that the following process is also used in the event that no candidate wins 270 or more Electoral College votes.
House Selects the New PresidentSo as directed by the 12th Amendment, the 435 – many of them newly elected -- members of the House of Representatives would find as their first official duty to select the next President of the United States.

Oh, and BTW, the house is controlled by republicans, and probably will be again in 2017.

How convenient, and how transparent.

Told you all voting for president was important when it comes to appointing SCOTUS justices.

When has anyone seen a tie Cigar?

Also, they recounted what Gore wanted and he still lost. Then when that didn't work he wanted to recount the nation. What a loser idiot dragging the country into a steaming pile of BS.

That is what happened.

Some crafty bastards to set up the 2016 elections in 1804. I might have to rethink my shunning of the GoP.

For those who listen to conservative talk radio the answer to the op's question was answered months ago.

And many informed conservatives knew the proceedure without being told.

Btw, state delegations vote in the House for president not individual members.

Each state gets one vote.
