You know, I kind of feel bad for Jeb's Mom who went up there to campaign for her son on her walker. But that's what a Mother does. But then again, I remember a report some time back when Jeb was just thinking of entering the race that Barbara said she thought two Bush's were enough to be in the White House. Of course, you can't blame Jeb for being ambitious in running. It just didn't work out for him in the end.

Well that's the way the political ball bounces. One never knows how things are going to end for a candidate or how soon. I'm sure Jeb is feeling quite bad that he had to spend all those Mega-Millions of dollars on his campaign for nothing. But that's the chance you've got to take when you have the financial means and political ambition.

He was standard establishment fare.

Expected popularity because he's a Bush.

The fact that this piece of toenail fungus was voted off the island gives me hope for true conservatism.

I'd actually prefer Jeb to Hillary or Trump. Yeah, yeah, I know, he's establishment and the same result would come out anyway, but he's at least more respectable than the other two. If I'm going to be screwed I'd rather it be the more likable person doing the screwing.

Jeb Bush was not my favorite Republican candidate for the presidency--there were several, actually, that I preferred--but I did not have this vitriolic hatred of the man that some appear to have.

In short, I rather liked him; just not as well as many of his competitors for the nomination...

He was not tried. If you look at the previous link- he was there in Dallas. When he told the FBI otherwise. And he was on the payroll of the CIA. Even though they denied that at the time. Good book. You should try it.

He was from a bad family. With links to JFK's assassination (http://www.familyofsecrets.com/).

(1) The link supplied says only to "buy the book" that purports to tell the "true" story of the Bushes.

(2) The book is endorsed by such left-wing luminaries as Dan Rather, Bill Moyers, and Gore Vidal--not exactly a big plus, to my way of thinking.

(3) How, in any case, might an individual be held morally responsible for the (supposed) actions of his family?

I really do not view Jeb Bush as a sort of quasi-"corporation," but as an individual.

(By the way, you--rather noticeably--did not respond to the first two objections that I made.)
