And His Word is unto the LAW. Read and Believe, oh Conservatives. And fear and tremble, oh liberals:

An establishment in panic
Pat Buchanan: 'Never Trump' strategy could bring about GOP's suicide

Donald Trump “appeals to racism.”

“[F]rom the beginning … his campaign has profited from voter prejudice and hatred” and represents an “authoritarian assault upon democracy.”

If Speaker Paul Ryan wishes to be “on the right side of history … he must condemn Mr. Trump clearly and comprehensively. The same goes for every other Republican leader.”

“Maybe that would split the (Republican) party,” but, “No job is worth the moral stain that would come from embracing (Trump). No party is worth saving at the expense of the country.”

If Republican leaders wish to be regarded as moral, every one of them must renounce Trump, even if it means destroying their party.

Who has laid down this moral mandate? The Holy Father in Rome?

No. The voice posturing as the conscience of America is the Washington Post, which champions abortion on demand and has not, in the memory of this writer, endorsed any Republican for president – though it did endorse Marion Barry three times for mayor of D.C.

Anticipating the Post’s orders, Sen. Marco Rubio has....

The greater comedy is with the dims, an old, bankrupting socialist named Sanders and a lying, corrupt, murdering marxist named Clinton!

The GOP is going through perhaps needed changes. We will see which one is nominated, but whoever it is will be the next President.

Pat is a paleo-conservative. He makes some very valid points. He also is a constant irritant to the Establishment. And this article fits the mold.

from the article : While the depth and rancor of the divisions in the party are apparent, so also is the opportunity. For the turnout in the Republican primaries and caucuses has not only exceeded expectations, it has astonished and awed political observers.A new “New Majority” has been marching to the polls and voting Republican, a majority unlike any seen since the 49-state landslides of the Nixon and Reagan eras.
If this energy can be maintained, if those throngs of Republican voters can be united in the fall, then the party can hold Congress, capture the While House and reconstitute the Supreme Court.

Trump has no "majority" . This is nonsense being perpetrated by Trump and the media. A full 2/3 of Republicans have voted against Trump.

In your mind, what is the difference between a socialist and a marxist?

Buchanan used to write for the National Review back when it was worth reading.

I used to like watching Buchanan get Michael Kinsley all spun up on the old "Crossfire" shows.

Tucker Carlsen and Carl Begala were two of the 4 hosts so that should tell you enough.

Pat Buchanan is the man. He will always be a solid conservative in my book. The difference between him and modern "conservatives" is staggering and a sickening indictment of the political class. I really wish he had made headway against Bush back in the day. That said, anything Pat writes is intellectual gold.

Pretty much the same, but a true marxist will be striving for communism. Both socialism and marxism are the creations of Marx, but there are different degrees.

I'm sure different people have different opinions on this. Of course being the "know it all" person you are, I will likely be properly schooled by the master.

Pat Buchanan is a respectable intellectual and a consistent thinker. No wonder the Republican party hates him so much.

So what you're saying is that the socialists strive to create a (democratic or none-democratic) socialist government, while forsaking the original justification for the socialist state (as being a necessary step between capitalism and communism), because they see the attaining of true communism as a pipe dream, whereas the marxists are the short bus version since they actually think that an economic/social system based around the culture of ants is even possible?
