Shameful: Trump inspires anti-Latino chants at High School basketball game

"While racism and nationalism have existed in America for a very long time, the politics of Donald Trump have brought them back into sharp focus. As David Greene told NPR listeners, we’re beginning to see the real impact that Trump’s campaign has had on America at a very basic level:

“There was a basketball game last month near Gary, Ind. Two Catholic high schools were playing, and some students began to chant, Trump, Trump, and build a wall. They were chanting at the rival team which was mostly Hispanic. There was a similar incident in Iowa not long before that – also a high school basketball game, also involving a team made up of minority players.”

"People have rewarded Trump for these types of inflammatory comments and, as a result, the public are beginning to believe this type of behavior is acceptable. It’s clear that Trump’s talking points inspired the events that took place at Andrean High School in Indiana. We know there’s a correlation because the students at that game were carrying pictures of Donald Trump in order to mock and intimidate Latino athletes."

Thanks to Sports PoliticusUSA for this report.

Imho, With the events that have been happening lately with Trump having to cancel his gatherings and now this report on Latinos, it is clear that Trump is not for Latinos nor does he want their vote in November. Therefore, they should cheerfully give it to Hillary Clinton who does believe in and pull for Latinos and will continue to do so from the White House.

The fact that so many Hispanics are in this country illegally is what inspires trump and the American kids praising trump

Now you can thread ban me for disagreeing with you

That's where you're very wrong! There always has been bigotry against Hispanics and Latinos in this country, especially against those who are of Native American heritage with the tanner skin tones. Research shows and proves that there were many places in America during the 50's and 60's and even before that -- stores, barber and beauty shops, bus stations, etc. where signs on the door and windows would read: "No Mexicans Allowed!" And many of them were born right here in America! So, don't dare tell me that lie that this is something new. Latinos and Hispanics therefore have absolutely no business or reason voting Republican. Period!

It's the Republicans, Stupid!

Here's more.

Are Mexicans more hated than blacks by the extreme right?

"Donald Trump is the monster the Republican Party and Fox News created. The anti-immigration, anti-Latino fervor among the GOP base comes at a time when the party can least afford it. Trump is the face of the GOP, that raw racism stripped of all its subtleties and code words. Since the 1960s, the Republicans have won elections by appealing to racist white folks’ fear of black people and resentment over the gains of the civil rights movement. Wasteful government programs and welfare queens, tax increases, affirmative action, Willie Horton (http://www.politico.com/story/2015/05/jeb-bush-willie-horton-118061.html) — all were assigned a black face and became replacements for the n-word."

"In a country where a majority of the children born today are black and brown, Latinos are the largest “minority” group in America. And their voting power is growing, with an expected rise to 10 percent of the electorate (http://www.latimes.com/nation/la-na-latino-gop-20150717-story.html) in 2016. According to one analysis, even if the Republicans captured 60 percent of the white vote, which hasn’t happened since 1988, they would have to win at least 40 percent of the Latino vote (http://www.nbcnews.com/news/latino/gop-2016-win-will-need-more-40-percent-latino-vote-n394006) in order to capture the 2016 general election. And considering Mitt Romney only did half as well among Latinos with his relatively moderate stance of “self-deportation,” does anyone really see that happening this time around, or ever?"

"And with talk about “illegals,” “border babies” and “anchor babies,” anti-Latino racism has infected the GOP. Not only has this turned off Latinos but white voters (http://www.slate.com/articles/news_and_politics/politics/2015/07/the_gop_s_two_latino_problems_it_is_alienating_lat inos_and_some_white_voters.html) and others as well."

No just more of it ... but I'm not worried, Trump will be out of the news after November.
