A man named Curly Haugland was on a show this morning. He is trying to explain that the Republican Party picks the party's nominee, not the primary voters. Who is Haugland? A member of the Republican Party's rules committee, the people who will essentially determine what will happen at the convention.

So what does this mean for Donald Trump? It doesn't matter how many delegates he wins in primaries, the Party can still choose someone else at the convention by re-writing the rules.

Why would they do that?

Because they determine that Trump does not meet basic minimum standards for a Republican Party candidate for president, because

a) he shows continued ignorance of national and international issues

b) he is a proven constant liar

c) he continues to have poor personal decorum (nastiness)

This is not a joke, the Party may feel that trump has too much baggage. In fact, there are good signs they feel that way right now.

Trump could have changed over the past six weeks or so, stopped lying so much, stop being as nasty, studied policy a little.

He chose not to.

"The media has created the perception that the voters will decide the nomination," Curly Haugland said in an interview with CNBC. "That's the conflict here."

"The political parties choose their nominees, not the general public, contrary to popular belief," he added.Haugland was then asked what the point of holding primaries is if the party can disregard the will of the voters.

"That's a very good question," he responded.

Dems effectively did the same thing with the superdelegates.

We don't live in a democracy or a republic, folks. We're openly ruled by global corporations and bought politicians.

Yeah, we don't make a lot of noise when we do it...and we usually go back the next day, apologize and pay for the damage.

If Haugland is right then why are the taxpayers paying for primary elections?

When the Republican Party invalidates Trump and Cruz let's hope they join up and run as a third party. A Trump/Cruz ticket would have lots of support. Romney/Kasich will not.
