They look for mines, guard harbors and are trained to attach buoys to hostile divers. Pretty awesome stuff!

I also thought that the fact that these dolphins are released into the open ocean daily and since the beginning of the program 50 years ago only a few dolphins failed to return is interesting.

How do you know they don't already like it?

Because , while dolphins do fight and can be violent, I've never heard of one whole pod attacking another

They are the wolves of the sea. Violence is part of their daily life.

Besides, we do the same thing to dogs, horses, mules and such.

Having a bestiary is an ancient practice. And it's quite effective.

Never mind these animals are released into the open ocean daily and always come back...

The innocence that we attribute to animals is unfounded.
