This is a little bomb that might have a big impact. I wonder who this will screw with more, Dems or Reps? Depends, I guess, on which names he names. And how voters see it: as applying to just Dems or to the entire pack of weasels.

Wow, what if there was a clean sweep of all running incumbents?

The hell with prepper supplies, I must put in a large supply of popcorn.

'Screw the next generation' and 'Harry Reid's a pompous a**': Democratic congressman writes Anonymous tell-all book slamming 'nation of naive, self-absorbed sheep' as he admits he never reads bills he votes on

'My main job is to keep my job, to get reelected. It takes precedence over everything,' an anonymous member of Congress writes in a new book
'Voters are incredibly ignorant and know little about our form of government and how it works,' he writes
'It's far easier than you think to manipulate a nation of naive, self-absorbed sheep who crave instant gratification'
The author is a Democrat in Congress who laid out his complaints to a long-time friend and former Capitol Hill staffer who edited them into a book
'The Confessions of Congressman X' will be released May 24 by a small Minnesota-based 'vanity press' publisher

A new book threatens to blow the lid off of Congress as a federal legislator's tell-all book lays out the worst parts of serving in the House of Representatives – saying that his main job is to raise money for re-election and that leaves little time for reading the bills he votes on.

Mill City Press, a small Minnesota-based 'vanity press' publisher describes 'The Confessions of Congressman X' as 'a devastating inside look at the dark side of Congress as revealed by one of its own.'

'No wonder Congressman X wants to remain anonymous for fear of retribution. His admissions are deeply disturbing.'

The 84-page exposé is due in bookstores in two weeks, and Washington is abuzz with speculation about who may be behind it.

The book, a copy of which DailyMail.com has seen, discloses that the congressman is a Democrat – but not much else.

The anonymous spleen-venter has had a lot to say about his constituents, however.

Robert Atkinson, a former chief of staff and press secretary for two congressional Democrats, took notes on a series of informal talks with him – whoever he is – and is now publishing them with his permission.

'Voters claim they want substance and detailed position papers...

Good comment behavior (dive bar rules) will be enforced. Name calling gets TBs. If you have nothing of value to say, then please don't say it.

Also, I just realized that this is not strictly about the Presidential election... though it may have a big bearing on it. But if the PTB think it best, perhaps this should be moved to the US Politics forum?

I think it will be more about the Democrats than the Repubs. Should go hand in hand with all that is coming out with the Clinton Donors.

That's not to say that the Repubs should be given any pass with the same type of crap they pull.

Btw.....anything that shows Reid for the POS that he is. Is good!

I don't think I should be a shocker to most people.

Isn't this the antagonist who tore the GOP apart singlehandedly and created a gaping hole in the party?

Mitch failed on a worthy goal. Obama has been the worst president in our country's history! Those who voted for Obama still owe the rest of us an apology!

Just as soon as the people who voted for Bush apologize for foisting that moron on the rest of us.

I, for one, apologize for my vote for the man in his first term. I was wrong. Can anyone else who voted for Bush stand up to the plate and say likewise?
