FBI head questions Clinton’s characterization of the investigation (http://thehill.com/policy/national-security/279552-fbi-head-challenges-clinton-on-email-probe)

The Director of the FBI would not provide details, but he laughed off Hillary's characterization of his investigation as nothing but a routine security investigation.

The FBI doesn't do those Hillary.

The head of the FBI on Wednesday appeared to challenge Hillary Clinton (http://thehill.com/people/hillary-clinton)’s characterization of the federal investigation into her private email server.

Clinton and her allies have repeatedly called the probe a routine “security inquiry.” (http://thehill.com/blogs/ballot-box/presidential-races/279143-clinton-no-contact-from-fbi-in-email-server-investigation)

But Director James Comey told reporters that wasn’t an accurate description.

"It's in our name. I'm not familiar with the term 'security inquiry,' " Comey said at a roundtable with reporters, according to Politico. (http://thehill.com/policy/national-security/ http://www.politico.com/story/2016/05/hillary-clinton-email-investigation-fbi-james-comey-223071)

“We’re conducting an investigation ... That’s what we do,” he said, according to Fox News (http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2016/05/11/comey-rebuffs-clinton-claim-fbi-only-conducting-security-inquiry-on-emails.html).

Comey reportedly declined to say whether or not the investigation is “criminal” in nature.

The months-long federal probe appears to be entering its final stages, (http://thehill.com/policy/national-security/279077-decision-time-for-fbi-on-clinton) following reports in recent days that a number of Clinton allies have been interviewed. Clinton herself is expected to answer questions from FBI investigators and federal prosecutors in coming days or weeks.
