Medicare Bills Rise as Records Turn Electronic

When the federal government began providing billions of dollars in incentives to push hospitals and physicians to use electronic medical and billing records, the goal was not only to improve efficiency and patient safety, but also to reduce health care costs.

But, in reality, the move to electronic health records may be contributing to billions of dollars in higher costs for Medicare, private insurers and patients by making it easier for hospitals and physicians to bill more for their services, whether or not they provide additional care.

You can't make this stuff up folks. The Statists worship the bureaucratic high priests, but this is the kind of stupidity that they get in return. What's next? Billions for windmils?

One step forward, two steps back. Hasn't that been the history of this administration?

Ron Block ,
I wonder what motivates you to waste time writing silly posts ?
The Extremists are already brain washed to nod to anything . Whom do you think might even read your funny scribbles ? Are you scribbling to try and feel you are popular or do you actually believe " Unsure " voters live here and would be influenced by you ?
We all know you . You are giggled at . People say , " Spock he paid little money to look very stupid ." Why ? Have you no self respect left over ?
Do your wife and kids feel proud of someone who is sneered at the time to grow up from Beerbboy @ hristiqas

For the government, the correct solution to failing programs is to spend more money. Schools? All we need to do is spend more money. Welfare? All we have to do is spend more money. It is nice to have a solution that fits every single problem.

Especially when there is no more money.

Government doesn't work. It's out of touch, like cary.
