Five Reasons Why Liberals Should Vote Libertarian (http://thelibertarianrepublic.com/five-reasons-why-liberals-should-vote-libertarian/)

1. Economic fairness = economic freedom...
2. Equality of Opportunity =/= Equality of Outcome...
3. Libertarians will tackle the rigged education and justice systems to equal the playing field for everyone...
4. Libertarians provide solvent alternatives to current welfare programs that would still look after the destitute...
5. The Libertarian Party has been consistently pro-LGBT rights for far longer than either of the major parties...

Five Reasons Why Conservatives Should Vote Libertarian (http://thelibertarianrepublic.com/five-reasons-conservatives-should-vote-libertarian/)

1. Freedom of speech, expression, and religion – even hate speech...
2. Libertarians support the absolute right to bear arms...
3. Libertarians support free markets and limited government regulation...
4. Libertarians want healthcare that is driven by the demands of the free market, not politicians...
5. Libertarians aren’t looking for a handout, even in retirement...

How ironic that you may decide to participate in the process the very same year I may decide not to.

It's not something the government gives you. It's something the government leaves you alone about.

Yes, I suppose. Sometimes I'm impressed with Johnson, sometimes not. I hope he wins suit against control of national debates that excludes Libertarian and Green Parties.

Some things Peterson says impress.

Torn between Trump and Johnson. I'd normally go for Johnson 100 out of 100 times, but Trump has a real chance to break the status quos iron grip on power in this country.

He's a populist. Sure he want's to change the establishment status quo, only to establish himself.

I can stomach him establishing himself. He'll only be here for so long. The globalists have been running the country for 100 years.

A lot of people who were otherwise indoctrinated have woken up because of Trump, people I know personally. He's uncloaking our government and political process. Even if he's deeply flawed, he's doing a lot of good, even if it's inadvertent.

Right. Trump is not a globalist.

What we are supposed to believe is that enough people will vote for Gary Johnson, "for the hell of it" (protest vote) to allow him to win 270 electoral votes.

Are these people on crack?

Maybe Johnson , with a great deal of free advertising on his behalf, could get 15% of the vote, maybe he could win a small state or two.

There is only one way the Libertarian Party can have long term success in the US, and that is if compromises away it's most cherished ideals in return for some power. But even that is an extreme longshot.

The Libertarian Party principles require the end of the social safety net, and the end of taxes. Libertarians only want government to the extent it aids private property rights, and not government to promote the common good.

So either Libertarians will have to deceive the public as to their principles, or they will be roundly rejected.

The American government is broken and corrupt, and no one in current politics personifies that more than Hillary Clinton.

Trump can't harm our government more than it has been harmed by the Establishment. Hillary is part of that.

I remember people telling others if you vote for Perot, Clinton will be President and you will come to regret it. Deja Vu

My vote is purely symbolic anyway. Hillary Clinton will win the electoral votes from Washington state.

Why is that, Mac, please explain your sentiment in a rational way.
