Begrudging WaPo poll: Trump 46%, Clinton 44% (http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/begrudging-wapo-poll-trump-46-clinton-44/article/2591982)

WAPO is a typing pool for the DNC. They must be demoralized by this poll.

It's not the headline, and it takes 219 words to get there, but a new Washington Post poll on the presidential race reveals that RepublicanDonald Trump leads Democrat Hillary Clinton (https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/poll-election-2016-shapes-up-as-a-contest-of-negatives/2016/05/21/8d4ccfd6-1ed3-11e6-b6e0-c53b7ef63b45_story.html?hpid=hp_rhp-banner-main_poll0522-1201am%3Ahomepage%2Fstory) among registered voters 46 percent to 44 percent.

Inside the Post's story about the poll (http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/how-the-new-washington-post-poll-numbers-break-down/article/2591993) is this paragraph:

"At this point, the two candidates are in a statistical dead heat among registered voters, with Trump favored by 46 percent and Clinton favored by 44 percent. That represents an 11-point shift toward the presumptive Republican nominee since March. Among all adults, Clinton holds a six-point lead (48 percent to 42 percent), down from 18 points in March."

It is the first time (http://apps.washingtonpost.com/g/page/politics/washington-post-abc-news-poll-on-2016-election-may-16-19-2016/2038/) Trump has vaulted over Clinton in the poll and shows the advancement of the New York businessman over the past six months.

I think that Registered voters is the least reliable, but I think what should really worry about is, Hillary's numbers are declining.

SPOILER ALERT!!!!!

Ok folks lets get realistic, every oddsmaker has Hillary hands down blowing trump away in the general. Hillary has a huge ground presence in ever state. Hillary has far more financial backing than trump.

The hillary and Old Socialist saga isnt over and all the polls are more divided because of bernie supporters. I submit that all polls right now today are worthless. Heres what we need to wait for.

We need to wait till Bernie is finally out of the picture and give it another month to see where the bernie voters settle. Then we may have a fair idea of where its all at. After that it will depend on who shows up election day to ACTUALLY VOTE.

I think jim is mellowing in his old age.

Six months ago he would have laughed at the very idea of trump becoming president.

If Bernie actually takes this to the convention and continues to push Hillary to the left, It will be very hard for Hillary to get back to the center, with out blowing off the Bernie voters. Because they are mostly the Youth, they have in the past blown off elections.

Many are suggesting that she is just going to ignore Bernie from here on out. That will piss off the Feel the Bern crowd.

Truth Is the DNC is more fractured than the GOP at this point and could very well have a contested convention.

At the very least, Socialism is going to have to be part of the DNC platform, if they want the youth that Bernie has inspired.

As for the Blue Collar workers that are for Bernie? they will likely break Trump

Jim right now the pressing issue in this country have been ignored for 8 yrs and special interest groups have been the focus. If you are for the working class being neglected and wages suppressed and jobs taken by millions more illegal aliens for votes and if youre for the complete breakdown of any morals and common decency, then by all means you should vote for Hillary.

How are the polls going to look when Sanders accepts the position of Clinton's running mate?

Well I think that would give her a great boost, But I don't think it is going to happen.

It brings socialism into the race, and she would not be able to run to the center.

So I think that she would go up to about 52% maybe 53% and it would start to slide.

Weather or not she could hold on long enough? would be the question. I think that she will pick someone from the south, and likely a minority. with Trumps numbers starting to rise with those groups.

I doubt that I will vote for him unless he starts making sense on issues other than foreign policy.
